I was seen by Dr. Cada for infertility and we spent quite a bit of money on three rounds of unsuccessful IUI. We are now seeing a different fertility doctor who did a biopsy as part of our testing/labs and found the root of our infertility within the first two weeks. I am very disappointed that Dr. Cada and her team failed to do any of this fertility/miscarriage testing as they knew my background. I feel like I wasted time and money not to mention they failed to explain how the fertility medicine they put me on thinned my uterus lining and I honestly thought it was because of that reason why the IUIs failed. I really wished I would’ve went to Heartland before seeing Dr. Cada. I do not recommend her.

Decided to come here for my prenatal appointments because it had good reviews overall and my insurance covered it. I decided to transfer to CHI mid pregnancy since I wasn’t pleased with the care I was receiving and I also changed my Insurance.
Once I went to my first appointment at CHI, they told me I had a low placenta and I needed an extra ultrasound as this could be an issue, something that they never mentioned when I went to my appointments.
They were always really short, with no information whatsoever, and I felt rushed, as if they really didn’t care. They also do not even offer financial assistance. Next pregnancy I will know better.

Mothers beware! I unfortunately did not have a good experience here so I wanted to share with others so that your babies have a chance! My sisters have a history of early loss so after explaining this to the nurse while scheduling my OB appointment they were able to get me in early which I was grateful for. We went in for an ultrasound and there was no clear answer as to what was going on, so they were going to talk with the doctor. A different nurse calls us back in, and is explaining our next steps and possibly that I am miscarrying but they aren’t sure yet all while we are in the middle of the hallway for everyone to hear. They had me do blood work on a Tuesday then again on Thursday to see what my hcg and progesterone levels were doing. I was supposed to get a call early that afternoon from them on what was going on-it got later and later so I finally called and they apologized for not getting back to me sooner and they forgot about it and had to run it by the doctor still. I finally got a call about 1.5 hrs later-they said my levels were rising but not rising to where they should be and that I was miscarrying then proceeded to explain the process if I do miscarry over the weekend and there’s nothing they could do. We were devastated hearing this thinking we are losing our baby. I consulted with my sisters who have had a history and all 3 of them mentioned they had low levels too and got on progesterone shots. I called back to talk with the nurse to see if this was something I could get on, she consulted with the doctor and they weren’t comfortable giving it to me as they said it’s like “putting a bandaid on a bullet wound”. We had a gut feeling we needed to get a second opinion before just giving up on our baby. We went in Friday to a different OB, after they analyzed the labs, and I explained my sisters history, they had no problem giving me the progesterone and we actually felt heard and taken care. I went in This last Tuesday for an ultrasound with my new OB and everything is great with the baby, we saw the heart flutters and we are both in good health. We did not feel taken care of at all in this office and I knew I did not want to go my whole pregnancy having to be treated like another number to them. I am writing this as a first time mom who thankfully has older sisters who have gone through it already and can guide me. This may not be your situation, but I wanted to make the public aware that if this office says there is nothing they can do, go get a second opinion so your baby has a fighting chance!
Update! Our perfectly healthy little boy arrived 7/25. I’d advise anyone contemplating going here, don’t.

What an amazing OB clinic. I came here this past year for my first pregnancy. The entire office is so welcoming and kind and very professional. They are great at returning calls, working with you on your schedule, and the whole clinic runs smooth. I saw Dr. Mahoney and she is wonderful. She’s so smart and professional and answered all my first time mom questions so politely. She’s the best.

Mary Jane is amazing! I'm so glad that I followed her from her last location. I recommend her to anyone. She truly listens and cares, gives great advice. Thank you for being you, Mary Jane! Not to mention, the nurse that helped me today is hilarious and puts you at ease. They know their stuff and you know that right when you walk in. I'm so thankful I've found my place.
