I can't speak to most of the providers but mine is amazing. She never makes me feel rushed, always listens to my concerns and is kind and carrying. Love Tera S.

I had to bring in my almost 2 year old for X-Rays and our visit was TERRIBLE!! When we got to the room our tech didn’t introduce himself, didn’t explain anything, nothing. Just told me to “stand the kid on the stool”. She couldn’t do it herself so I was trying to help her. I kept asking for direction or assistance and the guy refused to help or even answer me. After about five minutes of struggling he said “I’m going to get help since you can’t get your kid to be still”. I wanted to walk out then. (I should have listened to my gut!) He came back after some time with a lady who was better but wasn’t best. She seemed condescending when I was expressing concern and frustration for how it was going and how we were being treated thus far. Completely brushing off anything I said. The tech looked like a deer in headlights. Apparently asking for direction and a bit of compassion/help was too much. She told me her name was XXX and pointed to the back corner to some dusty plastic tubes (the ones they put little kids in so they don’t move) and said if she can’t do this she will have to be put in that. It didn’t feel like help, it felt like a threat! It felt like “shut up or I’ll give your child something to really cry about”. So, fine, I put my screaming toddler back on the table and try to calm her. The lady tells the tech the white slat is in the wrong place and he needs to put it under my child. He walked over and grabbed my child by her right ANKLE and hoisted her up in the air leaving her neck bent hard so she couldn’t breath well. I had to grab her head/neck so he wouldn't hurt her anymore. The next 5-10 minutes was the worst experience but we got through it. Once done, my screaming and terrified toddler and I were given a number and told to go back to our room. I had to walk down the hallway to EVERY nurse LAUGHING AT US!! They seriously thought a terrified baby and overwhelmed/scared mother was a funny joke!! I have never felt SO small and uncared for and purposefully humiliated in my life!! I had to call my husband to come up there with us because I was SO upset by how they were treating us. Some different lady finally came to our room to go over the xray (I never got to see it, they wouldn’t show me?) My daughter by this time is physically scared of these people coming in the room and I am obviously emotionally overwhelmed and crying. She just laughed IN my face and said “being a Mom is hard huh, hahahahahaha” I’m writing this review at 5am because I am still so upset by the way we were treated by seasoned “professionals”. We were laughed at, mocked, ignored, hurt, and traumatized. I cannot in good conscience or good faith let this slide. First: I would love to speak with the practice manager about this (if they even bother to notice) otherwise we will probably switch care for safety concerns. Second: PLEASE TEACH YOUR STAFF ABOUT BODILY CONSENT AND WHEN TO ASK FOR IT!! The tech man-handling my child was NOT okay. He could have asked to move my daughter or to have me move her. Period. Grown men don’t need to be handling little girls in such a manner. Maybe that flies in your home, but not ours! CONSENT MATTERS at all ages!!!! {If nothing else, at least take this to heart!} Third: Just because staff do procedures hundreds of times doesn’t mean they don’t have to explain things to people (this might be their first time). It’s courteous to patients and shows that they aren’t just trying to slap things together just to be done with it. We are PEOPLE first, not some numbers on a spreadsheet that you can quickly squeeze a dime out of. Fourth: Please brush up on compassion and empathy with your staff. Laughing might seem lite hearted to them, but to others it feels like mocking, bullying, elementary behavior. It seemed like they liked that my daughter was upset/scared and I was distraught. Maybe they get a kick out of it?? It gets them through their mundane workday?? Who knows. Fifth: Techs need an additional hand in the room if needing X-rays for a small child.

I have been a patient of Family Practice Associates for over 10 years, and until recently, I had no significant issues. Unfortunately, a single billing dispute revealed serious problems with professionalism, communication, and how long-standing patients are treated. I contacted the office to request a clear explanation of additional charges applied to my account. This is a reasonable and basic request for any patient. Instead of receiving transparency, the billing specialist was unable to explain the charges and responded dismissively, stating they were “common sense.” That response was unprofessional and inappropriate. Asking questions about billing is not aggression—it’s responsible. What followed was even more concerning. Rather than addressing the unresolved billing issue or reviewing staff conduct, the practice issued me a formal “warning letter” that mischaracterized my conduct and ignored my decade-long history of reliable payments and respectful interactions. My account was paid in full, yet I was spoken to in a condescending and punitive manner. Most troubling was the inclusion of a Medical Records Release Form with the warning letter, which strongly implied I was being encouraged to seek care elsewhere—without any transparent discussion or justification. That is not how a professional medical practice should treat a long-term patient, especially over a single billing inquiry. Patients deserve clear billing, respectful communication, and accountability from staff—not intimidation when they ask legitimate questions. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone who values professionalism, transparency, and being treated with basic respect.
