AAASF Surgical Suite
The operating suite at the Summit office in Wilmington is nationally accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAASF). We were the first in Wilmington to have this important distinction demonstrating that we maintain the highest quality of patient care. Our operating suite meets the stringent national standards for equipment, operating room safety protocols, certified personnel and credentialing as set forth by the AAAASF.
CLIA Certified Mohs Lab
For your convenience and to ensure the very best outcome from your cancer surgery, the Summit has CLIA certified Mohs labs in Wilmington and Supply. Our board certified dermatologist is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. This means that your pathology specimen is prepared in our CLIA certified lab and is being read under the microscope at the time of your surgery. This methodical process in which tissue is removed and examined, has the highest cure rate for skin cancer removal.

- SHShahera Hernandez1 day ago1.0I called to make an appointment and the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude. At first she said that they take my insurance then after giving my name and date of birth…she said that my insurance doesn’t cover skin removal (plastic surgery). She said that they take my insurance but she hung up in my face before I could even give her the insurance number to look it up. So if you had bariatric surgery and are looking for skin removal…save yourself some time and don’t bother calling these people. RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!

The option of now being able to get some procedures under local anesthesia, instead of full anesthesia is a game-changer and I would go back in a hot second for another procedure, if ever needed. Dr. Ricciardelli has produced some of the best results I’ve ever had.

- DRDeb RJun 10, 20265.0During an annual skin cancer screening with Dr. Sica, a basal cell carcinoma was discovered just under my eye. Dr. Sica performed MOHS surgery but the area also required skin graft surgery to be done by Dr. Ricciardelli. Dr. Sica did an amazing job concerning the MOHS surgery, particularly since the area was extremely close to my lower eyelid. And, Dr. Ricciardelli's surgical skills were outstanding! Afterward, he suggested a bit of laser on the surgical scar and, a few months later, my face has healed tremendously. Even people who are aware that I had extensive procedures tell me that my skin looks great. Please do not hesitate to see Drs. Sica and Ricciardelli if you are confronted with a similar situation!
