Went to this dentist last year. Got X-ray the prior year and they said one of my teeth needed to be refilled. When DR.wheeless looked he said my teeth looked great but he would keep an eye on the back tooth. He said he could refill it. So in 6 months went back to him and after my cleaning they looked at the tooth again he then said I need a crown for another tooth. But instead of refilling the back tooth to save it. He said they needed to pull it so he said by pulling it it may help the other tooth that needed a crown. So they pulled it and I lost that tooth instead of trying to refill it. But then I had to go back because I had bone fragments hanging down. After healing went back to get a crown after grinding the tooth down doctor wheless put a temporary crown in until my permanent one came in. After this I never saw Dr.wheless again because when I went for the permanent crown to be put in. The dental hygienists put my crown on and before she put it in she dropped it on the floor and laughed about it. I asked her did it break she said no and made the statement it’s funny I was putting one in a man’s mouth and dropped it and he swallowed it. So after she cemented in she made me bite down to make sure my bite was right. No other dentist came in to check the work so I left. That night I was in so much pain I couldn’t sleep or eat because the crown was hurting. So I called back to get in the next day still never saw Dr.whelees instead I saw a different dental hygienists and she started grinding my tooth down to see if it helped. I ask where Dr. wheless was they said he was out of town. So then I left and that night I was in pain again but I had to wait the whole weekend to get back in. So I went back in but this time I saw the other dentist a young guy who came in and grinding on my crown some more. Then I left and I didn’t have trouble at first and a couple of months went by I started hurting again. So I decided to see a dentist in Greensboro while getting my teeth cleaned the dental hygienists said your crown is messed up. I said I have had some sensation with it but I told her I didn’t want Dr.Weless office messing in my mouth anymore that I had a bad experience. She said let me get the dentist in here. When the dentist looked at my crown he said what dentist put this on. I said a dentist didn’t I said a dental hygienist did. He said you a kidding I said no, he then proceeded to become very angry. He said a dental hygienist is not certified to do this work. He asked did you ever see the dentist I said no. He then took pictures of my tooth and showed me that the crown was improperly placed on the tooth. He said you need to go and tell them you want your money back and show them the picture where I circled. Then tell them if you are not refunding your money that you are filing a complaint with the board of dentistry. So I did and I was refunded my money and now the dentist I am seeing is going to have to redo my crown. He also said he may need to do a root canal once he cuts the crown off. But that he hopes not. I am still contemplating reaching out to the board of dentistry for a complaint form. I highly would not recommend this dentist 😡

Absolutely, painless dentistry. I had a root canal done by Dr. Bob, and it was painless. He went out of his way to assure me it would be painless, and then followed through on the actual procedure. Excellent, caring dentist. Adrian his assistant was just as great:)
