UPDATE: I do want to add that after posting my original review, my experience this week felt much more encouraging. I was celebrated today for losing 29 pounds, which honestly meant a lot to me because recognition and encouragement are important during a weight loss journey. I also received a discount on my vitamins, which I appreciated. Whether it was a coincidence or whether they genuinely took customer feedback into consideration, it did make me feel heard as a client. I think it’s important to acknowledge improvements when they happen, and I’m happy the program is moving in a more supportive direction.
Overall, I really can’t complain because it’s very obviously working — I’ve lost 29 pounds!!!!
I’ve been doing the Medi Weight Loss program since March, so about 2 months now, and I’ve lost over 20 pounds. The program DOES work, but I think it’s important for people to understand the expectations before signing up.
The biggest benefits of the program, in my opinion, are the weekly visits, vitamin injections, and the GLP-1 medication. Those things have definitely helped me stay on track. However, outside of that, don’t expect a lot of hand-holding, coaching, or personalized guidance throughout the week.
In the beginning, they give you a very strict protein goal and structure for the first couple of weeks, but after that you’re kind of left to figure things out on your own. There are resources available, but you really have to dig for them because they are not readily accessible or well organized. I was also disappointed that there isn’t a useful app for tracking weight goals, calories, macros, or progress.
Another thing people should know is that this program gets VERY expensive. In my opinion, it can easily start feeling like a money trap. They initially reeled me in with a huge discount on the GLP-1 for the first month, then encouraged me into a 6-month subscription at a much higher “discounted” rate. The pricing overall feels inconsistent and honestly a little questionable sometimes. Even reviewing the receipts and breakdowns, it can feel like the prices are being made up as they go. Vitamins that were half price one week are suddenly triple the cost another week, and there’s constant upselling for additional products and services.
One thing that also surprised me was the lack of recognition for milestones. Losing 20 pounds was a huge accomplishment for me, but there was really no acknowledgment, encouragement, or reward from the program. I think that’s a missed opportunity because celebrating progress matters.
Overall, the program IS helping me lose weight, but I also have to give credit to myself for staying disciplined and accountable at home. The results are coming from my consistency too, not just the clinic. The weekly visits definitely add up financially, so if you’re considering this program, realistically expect to spend $300+ a month, if not more.
My overall opinion: it works, but go into it understanding that you are paying primarily for the medication and weekly check-ins — not for intensive coaching or ongoing support.
