Staff were very professional, organized and very friendly. Have been a customer for years. Highly recommend.

If I could I would leave a 0 star review. This place is awful. Everything I can I was seen late. Today I waited 35 min with no update on when I'll be seen untill I came up to ask. They told me they double booked and the other came in before I did so was seen first. Very unprofessional to double book and make someone wait. I even came 5 min earlier and the 35 min doesn't include that 5 min. I was told I had an additional balance as well which I wasn't aware of prior either. Staff is nice but so many mishaps. Won't be back. Also on first visit was told I need a mandatory eye exam for eye disease. I clearly stated I didn't want to get tested because I have been before and know I am not at risk for that but they mandated it still and wouldn't let me sign a refusal paper. Very disappointed in how they push for random things to every patient even when clearly not needed, always trying to make money. When I was called back I had to wait additionally for the doctor another 5 minutes.
This location is great and convenient! I was seen by Dr.Conlan in which I enjoyed. He took his time and was very thorough throughout the process. Any questions or concerns I had he answered with no problem! The front desk staff and pre-test tech did an amazing job as well. They do accept walk-ins too! Go through Belk or JC Penny to get to them, not the food court.
This was one of the most unprofessional and unpleasant medical experiences I’ve had. The doctor was cold, dismissive, and gave the clear impression that he had no interest in actually caring for his patients. His demeanor was not just unfriendly—it was borderline rude and condescending.
I felt completely brushed off during the appointment. Any attempt to ask questions or understand my own eye health was met with short, dismissive answers, as if I was wasting his time. There was no effort to explain anything, no reassurance, and absolutely no sense of empathy.
It’s honestly alarming to see someone in healthcare behave this way. Patients deserve to feel heard and respected, and that did not happen here. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and questioning the quality of care I received.
I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a doctor who treats you like a human being rather than an inconvenience.

I would give no stars if possible. My experience was extremely poor and echoes everything other customers have stated in 1-star reviews. I arrived a little early for my 12:30 appointment, figuring I'd have to fill out some paperwork. The front desk staff were like zombies. Despite being early, I still had to wait 45 minutes just to get the first test to measure your eye health. I finally saw the optometrist, Matthew Conlan. I've never had such a dismal experience with an optometrist in my life. It was clear to me that he would rather have been anywhere else but there, doing his job. He explained nothing about my vision or the adjustments he made to the prescription without prompting from me, and then his answers were pretty much monosyllabic. He seriously lacks communication skills, which are necessary in this profession. I don't think he smiled once. A little kindness, warmth, some personality and more than 'yes/no' responses would go a long way. I will never, ever go back to this location or to this optometrist for a vision test. I left feeling dismissed and frankly, condescended to. When I left the office and went next door to LensCrafters to give them my prescription, the manager told me that she noticed I sighed heavily as I exited Accuvision. I told her about my experience, and she nodded her head and said they'd heard this same feedback before from other customers, so I know it's not just me. As a courtesy, she took $50 off my bill to make up for the bad experience, which I greatly, greatly appreciated. Please know that this feedback is NOT about LensCrafters -- it is strictly about this Accuvision location in Carolina Place Mall and this particular optometrist and front desk staff.
