  Irene has truly been a Godsend. She listens without judgment and looks beyond the surface to understand what is really going on. After years of being misdiagnosed, I felt incredibly frustrated and defeated because nothing seemed to work consistently. Then Irene finally helped me make sense of it all. Thanks to her knowledge and guidance, I am now on a combination of medications that has genuinely changed my life. For decades, I felt as though I were living underwater, never fully heard, understood, or able to reach the surface. For the first time, I finally feel like I can breathe. Irene is brutally honest when I need her to be, but she is also compassionate, knowledgeable, and committed to helping me understand my diagnosis and learn how to manage it. She is flexible, works around my job when scheduling appointments, answers my questions, and consistently makes me feel like a priority. I am beyond thankful for her and the difference she has made in my life.

  Irene, your reply literally shows your unprofessionalism. you can’t compare mine encounter with you to others encounters lol. “i strongly suggest you seek help” is unprofessional- do better Irene!! i feel so sorry for your patients. luckily, i did find someone who i can understand, and who is patient. unlike you. good day, do better.

  Irene Essien-Akpan is the absolute worst provider to go to. She’s 100% unprofessional, doesn’t tend to your needs, and will cut you off mid-sentence!! She hung up the phone while I tried to cancel my appointment with her. Refused to cancel my appointment actually. Now she doesn’t want to pick up!!! Highly unprofessional!!!
