  I went to Lenscrafters to replace the lenses in my Ray Ban sunglasses. They had fallen off in the surf and had scratched badly. The manager spent quite some time looking through his sources, but he couldn't find any replacements, I guess because my model so old. He suggested just buying a new frame with the lenses included. I told him that those glasses outlasted 2 wives and a girlfriend, and that they had great sentimental value. So he gave me the model number of the frames and told me what size lenses I needed. He said that if I could find the lenses on my own, to come back with them and he would put them in for me. I quickly found the Ray Ban RB3025 62mm on the Revant website and took advantage of the GOVx 15% discount. I got the lenses a week earlier than originally estimated. I tried to replace the lenses myself, but the screws were so tight I didn't want to force them, so I took the Lenscrafter manager up on his offer to replace them. When I offered to pay him, all he wanted was a hand shake. I'm delighted with my old frames and new lenses.

  Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great staff. I truly appreciate everything both sides do and the partnership they exhibit for the overall customer experience. The new facility is a nice compliment to the overall staff presence and customer focused atmosphere.

  Sylvia was amazing!! She assisted my daughter and I both through our purchasing process giving all options available, checking for different colors of glasses, giving time to try on and decide. No rushing the appointment. I am truly appreciative of the help as it made the visit quick and seamless.

  Watch out for hidden fees and aggressive sales tactics! I came in for a standard routine eye exam covered by my insurance ($10 copay). At check-in, they automatically tried to slip in an extra $39 out-of-pocket charge for an optional retinal scan without telling me it was elective. When I stood my ground, they waived it, but the attitude shifted. During the exam, the doctor aggressively tried to get me to say I had "dry eyes" to switch me to a more expensive medical billing exam. To top it off, he claimed my eye glands were clogged and tried to sell me a pricey microwaveable heat mask from their lobby—which I Googled and found out a warm washcloth does for free. They were entirely focused on milking money out of me rather than just checking my eye health. I just won't be using them at all.
