  I happened to be at Target and noticed the optical shop on the way out. I walked in to get a missing screw replaced in my glasses, and Angelica fixed me right up. Not only did she replace the screw, she expertly straightened the frames! I'm a very happy customer. Thanks Angelica!

  Everyone at Target Optical has been GREAT, and they've made my first-time glasses experience about as smooth as I could hope. Couldn't be happier! When I started noticing vision issues, Target Optical was one of the quickest appointments that I could get. I thought worst-case scenario I'd get my prescription and find glasses elsewhere. My exam was very pleasant -- both of the people that I spoke to were polite & helpful, and seemed more than competent. I ended up ordering a pair of glasses as well, in case I couldn't find something else. It turned out that I actually preferred the lenses from these glasses much more compared to a trendy lower cost brand at the mall down the road. I need progressive lenses, which are somewhat challenging - while the ones I got at the mall were disorienting, had narrow tunnel vision, and were overall blurry w/the exception of a very narrow sweet spot, the ones from Target were MUCH better. There's always a drop off in the periphery w/progressives, but it was so much clearer and less distracting. I adjusted to them very quickly, and returned the others. I ended up not loving the frames I chose, and they made exchanging this super easy. A few months later, I damaged those glasses, and they made replacements painless (I did select the replacement plan, assuming w/my first pair it would pay off, and it did). If you're worried that "the place inside Target" won't be a great experience, I hope this changes that perception for you. They've exceeded every expectation I've had. I do wish they partnered with someone other than Essilor Luxottica for hardware, but it's not at all because of performance or quality.

  I usually book eye exams at places a little closer to where I live but after today, I will gladly make the drive to Southpoint every year! Everyone was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Not too pushy but very warm and welcoming. My son and I both had appointments. He was not too interested in doing his eye exam but both Keisha and Dr Lou were amazing. They were very patient and understanding with him as an active 5 year old. Would highly recommend for family visits. They also have A LOT of stylish frames to choose from, not just frames to fill the wall. This is coming from someone who is VERY PICKY about frames and I found 2 pair I loved in less than 10 minutes. Latonya and another woman in optical that helped me were absolutely amazing. They even gave my son crayons to draw with. I’ll definitely be back next year. :)

  Our experience with the doctor was wonderful. However, when we went to pick up the glasses we ordered from the optical center, only the lenses arrived. Between the time we originally ordered the glasses and the time we picked them up (6 days), the staff never informed us the frames were unavailable. When we arrived to pick up the glasses, the staff was talking amongst themselves as to how to resolve the missing frames. Without discussing the issue with us first, the staff decided on their own to pull the display frame off the wall and put the lenses into the used frame. My family and I finally noticed what was happening, so I stopped them to ask what was wrong and why they did not have a new frame that came with the lenses. They said this sometimes happens and this is how they resolve this issue. I asked if the frame was on backorder or if a new frame could be ordered again. They said they didn't know. The manufacturer did not say why the frame was unavailable. They were pushing for us to use the used frame or select a new frame. We opted to get a refund and took our business somewhere else. (Update on the Owner's Response below: I reached out to them directly at the contact info they provided me and have yet to hear from them.)

  They cancelled my eye appointment the day prior because I didn't answer the phone call from their unknown number to "confirm" my appointment. This is 2026 - Who answer calls from unknown phone numbers. And they cancelled it? Just send a text, please. Edit - I called direct in time that they were able to re-add my appointment.
