When my debit card changed, the freeze fee payment bounced — something that happens and is easily resolved. Instead of handling it gracefully, I was immediately contacted by corporate demanding payment of a $20 late fee. I called to sort things out and potentially continue my freeze while recovering, but the customer service experience was so frustrating and difficult that I ended up canceling altogether. They make the cancellation process deliberately annoying, and the reps were rude and unhelpful throughout. Honestly, I probably would have come back once I recovered from my injury and kept paying the freeze fee in the meantime. That’s no longer happening. If you’re considering a membership, just know that the moment you hit any bump in the road, this gym will make your life harder instead of easier. Not worth it.
