I tried to schedule an appointment for my routine eye exam. To confirm the appointment, I was required to agree to undergo an additional eye test with a $39 copay. This procedure is, in practice, mandatory; given that I do not need this specific test, my appointment was cancelled. You cannot force a customer to accept services they neither want nor need. I received a call from then and xplain again I don’t need that exam. And still cancel the appointment

Visited a LensCrafters store today to get my glasses frame tightened. At the time of purchase, I was told I could walk into any LensCrafters for adjustments — but when I came in, they refused to do it. Very disappointing experience

I had a very disappointing experience at this store when I went in regarding an issue with my Ray-Ban Meta prescription glasses, which are still under one year old. The associate I spoke with, Angel, immediately dismissed my concern and claimed the damage looked like it was caused by someone sitting on the glasses, which is simply not true. The spots on the lenses developed under normal use, and there is no physical damage consistent with that explanation. What was more frustrating was the inconsistent and incorrect information I was given. She initially stated that I purchased the glasses in April, which is incorrect—I bought them in July. When I clarified this, she suggested that it was “too close to a year” anyway and that nothing could be done. When I asked about the standard warranty, I was told—incorrectly—that prescription Ray-Ban lenses have no warranty at all. This directly contradicts Ray-Ban’s stated policies. Instead of helping, she shifted the conversation toward getting a new eye exam (because my prescription expired in February) and buying a completely new pair, claiming these couldn’t be repaired. Overall, I felt dismissed, misinformed, and pressured into making a new purchase rather than being helped with a legitimate concern. I would expect better product knowledge and customer service, especially when dealing with premium eyewear. I hope the store takes steps to better train staff and handle customer concerns more professionally.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
