  The Weight Loss portion of the program was great. I lost 30# in the predicted 5 months. Program is pricey but I considered it a health investment. I was never hungry and most of the food provided was pretty good (the hot chocolate is fantastic). Staff was friendly and helpful, I really hate the Lake Norman office shut down. The maintenance phase I was much less pleased with...the slow-release 'Drip Method' of information was down-right frustrating and not that helpful. You reach your goal and you're pumped, ready to transition to real life, and then you are allowed only so much information per week? You are promised premium membership to Cronometer but only granted access at the end of the 4 week free maintenance period? These are Opportunities for Improvement.

  Counselors and staff worked to fit my needs and schedule. They constantly worked with me to find creative ways to meet my goals and suggestions that I never would have discovered. Just about everyone I talked to and worked with was compassionate, knowledgeable and made me feel heard. I attribute my successful goal met to the people there who provided encouragement and insight. I ate food - there was no starving and whenever I hit a wall or issue - the staff was able to help me navigate it. Seeing food as a fuel source that allows you to do what you want and understanding what I truly 'need' was so enlightening. I highly recommend PHD in Davidson /Lake Norman to anyone looking to achieving a healthier and better version of yourself. It wasn't just about the weight loss but about prioritizing your own health and getting back to eating better.

  Great staff! Great program! My wife and I are alumni, losing a collective 80+ lbs and we have been able to keep it off for over a year now. The care and attention doesn’t stop when you reach your goal. The staff continues to support you on your healthy life journey. NO DRUGS!
