First time visiting this location, mainly because the exam office is attached directly inside the business. My initial experience was pleasant. After my exam, I spent some time looking at and trying on new frames. During the purchasing process, the customer service was friendly and very helpful throughout the entire experience.
However, when I returned to pick up my glasses, there were complications with the lenses. I have worn glasses for more than 20 years, so I have a reasonable understanding of how frames, lenses, and prescriptions work and what to expect from a new pair of glasses.
The glasses did not sit well, and my vision through the lenses did not feel correct or comfortable. I expressed my concerns to an employee, who then brought over the on-duty optometrist to adjust the frames in hopes of improving the fit and vision. Unfortunately, the adjustments did not resolve the issue.
At that point, I was given two options: either "upgrade" the lenses by paying an additional $150+ for a higher index lens or receive a refund. What concerns me is that this upgrade option was never mentioned during the original purchase process, yet it was presented as the solution when I returned with a problem.
The bigger issue was a comment made by the gentleman assisting me. While I do not remember his exact wording, he said something along the lines of, "We usually don't offer those services depending on how customers react when prices are discussed." My daughter and fiancée were present and heard the comment as well. The statement felt insulting and left me wondering whether assumptions were being made about my ability to afford the upgrade. As an Asian American customer, the remark came across as inappropriate and potentially discriminatory.
In conclusion, I was able to purchase the same pair of glasses online from a third-party site with 1.74 index lenses for under $100. Because of this experience, I do not believe I will be returning to this location. I understand that one customer's opinion may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but I believe it is important to share my experience as a local Google reviewer.
There's a lot more I could say, but this is enough for now. Don't even get me started on the experience my fiancé had. I'll definitely not be recommending this location to my employer, Chewy INC, and to my coworkers since it's listed as an EyeMed Plus+ service location for us.

I wasted my gas and time going to a SCHEDULED appointment only to show up 20 minutes early and see people sitting behind the locked gate in a dark waiting room. What should've been the 1st appointment ended up being 3 people ushered ahead of me. Disappointed and looking for a closer Dr.
Words of wisdom: Do NOT call the night before to makes sure I'll be there on time if you take walk ins the minute you open (late).
I like the Dr., but the office management sucks. Looking for new Dr.

Very quick, friendly and they fixed my glasses that were over torqued at another location! Definitely coming here from now on! They also gave me a microfiber cloth because the other location didn’t care to. Thanks!

I have recently bought a new pair of glasses from my personal Optometrist. I have not been able to wear them due to them being heavy. I wasn’t able to get anyone at the doctor’s office to assist me however everyone at Lens Crafter’s in the Carolina Mall did. After finding a frame I was literally out of the store within 20 minutes. Excellent service, professionalism, and kindness from everyone on the staff. To say I am pleased and grateful is an understatement. I highly recommend getting your glasses from Lens Crafter’s. I will definitely be going back there from now on!!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
