  Dr. Glaser is extremely caring and thorough. He doesn't stop looking for answers to help your care. The front desk team and supporting techs and nurses are also very caring and helpful. I recommend this practice tremendously.

  The experience from checking in at the front desk to being worked up by the tech and seeing the provider was very professional and timely. My appointment was at 9am and I was on my way home by 9:45am. I did not feel rushed or uncomfortable at any time during the appointment. The provider explained everything to me and provided appropriate treatment with detailed information. I will definitely be using this office for all my needs in treating my feet.

  Today was my 2nd visit to the office. My first visit and today's interactions with Dr Glasar were fine in respect to the care I recieved so I have no problems with the doctor just to be clear, I would recommend him to others if it were not for the red flags I got today from office staff in regards to asking about a bill I recieved following my first visit. I recieve the bill in a text which is fine, but it didn't explain what the amount was for. Mind you the amount is not my issue either ($64.71). But on my first visit I paid my copay and I was charged for a brace ($109) as I left which was fine or so I believed until today. I went today for my follow up visit and asked what the bill was for, thinking maybe my $65 copay didn't go through or they were trying to prepay for this visit since it was almost the exact same amt as my copay. What I recieved was accusations that I was told last time that my $109 charged was just my portion of the brace and that the rest was submitted to insurance and the bill is the part insurance didn't pay. I asked how much was the total for the brace and was told that its $347. I was a bit shocked as its a very small cloth brace with 2 straps around it. So I asked why noone told me that it really wasn't $109. Their attitude only got worse and I was told I was in fact told and that I had signed for that. I asked her to print that out and she didn't want to, she said its not her job and I need to talk to the medical assistant when I go in to the exam room. I said OK, but I asked her to please print out what I had signed. What I signed was a receipt of receiving the brace and that I acknowledged that the brace is in compliance with standards and safety laws for its design. Nothing about its cost whatsoever is on the form and the only other thing I have is my receipt for $109 which is what I had believed was its cost. Then in the exam room the medical assistant tells me it actually should have been more...and then she looks at my paper and says...no $109 is correct...not what I was worried about. Then she goes on to ask me why I didn't tell them that I would rather have paid for it cash and not have them submit it to my insurance.....Im just sitting there starring at her for all this and tried to explain again that noone told me it was a $347 brace and not $109 total. What if my insurance had chosen not to pay any of it and I unknowingly ended up owing the full amount? She then says that their computers only charged me that much based on the an estimated amount for my part. She just kept defending/ perhaps not comprehending that I was not told how much my brace costs. I should have been given that information and if I had known, I might have looked for an alternative brace instead. Like, in my case the balance is only $64 and ok with me now that I know....but communication is important and for some people that amount of money might mean more to them. In my case its a clear red flag in how they handle billing AND more importantly a lack of respect for patients who come there and give them their trust. I paid the bill before I left once I understood what it was. My concern moving forward is what if the foot problem Im having leads to further issues or a procedure...my focus as the patient should be on my health, not their billing practices and trying to force communication. Like I say, the doctor seems very good and I've only been there twice now, but I was startled by how I was spoken to and a bit shaken by the time I left and I believe this to be needless and avoidable if they think about what they are doing and show more respect and care. On my end I was very calm the whole time but initially just very confused, so I really believe their defensive attitude towards me was unwarranted. The doctor said he will speak to staff...and I truly hope he does because noone deserves that AND I would like to return at least one more time because the treatment seems fine. Unfortunately if anything else like this happens again I'll be forced to go somewhere else and start all over with another doctor.
