Worst surgery experiences ever! I went to Doctor Bocko for pain in my left foot. He diagnosed it as arthritis in my first metatarsal joint, and suggested surgery, which he said he has done many times in the past. His first surgery on my foot was a failure because the bone didn’t heal and fuse properly and screws that were used for the plate broke not long after surgery. Also, Dr Bocko introduced a new problem on my foot that I never had before, after surgery my big toe was sticking up and curved to the left. Dr Bocko said that he should have used a bone graft and different hardware for the surgery, but was not sure how to fix the big toe problem that he created. One year of painful recovery all for nothing. I trusted him a second time a year after the first surgery to fix everything. Same result after the second surgery!! broken hardware in my foot not long after surgery, and a bone graft that was way too short of a section which caused severe pain in my foot due to the imbalance of pressure and mechanics that Dr Bocko introduced. And my big toe is still deformed! After over another year of painful recovery, and physical therapy, I was forced to get a second and third opinion from foot surgeon experts. Both the surgeons could tell right away from looking at x-rays that the first metatarsal was made way too short from the prior surgery. Actually, the first doctor when he looked at the x-ray of my foot in front of me, actually laughed at the job that was done on my foot, and question why I would ever go to a doctor like that for such a surgery. I felt horrible that I wasted over two years of my life, and a lot of pain. I am a very active person, and newly retired, and missing out on being active the first two years of my retirement was devastating. I also live on 17 acres and had the burden of dealing with two years of foot, pain and recovery while maintaining my land. I rarely write reviews for businesses, but this has caused me tremendous pain and setback in my life, and I felt I wanted to do it so other people wouldn’t suffer for so long like I did. I have since gone to a foot specialist and had a third surgery done on my foot and the problem is now fixed with way less pain and recovery time.

She is truly a physician’s physician. As a foot and ankle surgeon remote in Ohio and in no approximate distance to care for my pregnant daughter; the good doctor provided immediate care. She was responsive, knowledgeable and caring; and understanding of the pregnant condition and the associated concerns. Thank you so very very much!! Dr E. J. Paul
