I only wish she were an ophthalmologist so I could see her as my retina specialist. The male staff member who was seated near the eyeglass area description Caucasian male with glasses displayed what I considered to be extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior toward a female staff member working at the reception/sign-in area. I personally witnessed him speak to her in a hostile and unnecessarily rude manner. When she brought a piece of paper to him, I then witnessed him throw the paper across the back desk in an aggressive and dismissive manner. As a patient and member receiving eye care services at this location, I found this behavior extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. Patients should not be subjected to visible hostility, intimidation, or disrespect among staff members while receiving medical care. An eye care facility should maintain a professional, respectful, and welcoming environment for both patients and employees. I respectfully request that management review this incident promptly and take appropriate corrective or disciplinary action. Conduct of this nature should be taken seriously, particularly when it occurs openly in front of patients. Based on what I personally witnessed, I believe management should evaluate whether this employee’s conduct is consistent with the professional standards expected of someone working in a patient-care environment. Please address this matter immediately to ensure that patients and staff are provided a professional, respectful, and appropriate environment.
