  Disappointed in these lenses, which dry out easily, and require constant hydrating. I am also terribly disappointed in the non-informative process and the radical change in lenses prescribed for me after the exam, with absolutely NO discussion during the exam indicating that the doctor was radically changing the prescription type and brand from those I had successfully worn for years through the Cary Triangle Visions office. The eye doctor in the Cary office, who queried me at key points of the process, determined that I definitely preferred to go wilth lenses with no adjustment for the slight astigmatism in my left eye. Didn’t need it, and nearly doubled the price. The astigmatism in my left eye is slight, according to all my previous eye doctors. Any and all optometrists I have ever used have made me aware of major changes proposed in my script, until this one. The previous lenses I used for years were Acuvue, which seem much thinner and easier for the eye to hydrate. No questions during the exam from this new doctor on my years of experience with the Acuvue, or remarks indicating that the doctor was even considering adjustment for astigmatism . When I arrived back to the lobby at the order station in the lobby, I was mystified at the extremely high price for the exam and a six month supply, about $400, even after applying my insurance. At no time was I informed that the lenses had an astigmatism adjustment, resulting in pricing that seemed double the prices I incurred in the past. or that and that Bausch & Lomb lenses were thicker and likely to require more hydration…Thicker apparently does not always go well with an older person’s dry eyes. I need constantly hydrate these B&L lenses with the increasingly popular Bio True hydrating solution from Bausch & Lomb! But the enduring dryness gives me intermittently blurrier vision. Finally, the lenses seem to slip off-center more easily on both eyes, maybe due eyelid friction with the thicker, dryer lenses Finally, lenses I paid for in the lobby seemed far more expensive per 6-lense box, which the doctor said would last longer. I do not find that they last noticeably longer.

  Triangle Visions in Apex served me well today. The staff were friendly and helpful. And Dr. Bass was professional and personal. I felt cared for as a patient and as a person.
