Absolutely garbage customer service experience today (6/29) around 3:00 pm from a black woman with black and red braids in the pharmacy who had a nasty attitude from the moment I walked up, saw me but ignored me at the counter for least 5-10 minutes with no acknowledgment that I was there but she acknowledged the people behind me. I didn’t get her name but the name on my receipt is Kamri. This employee escalated from a rude attitude to yelling curses at me from across the store by the time I left. She was aggressive and discriminatory and I have never had such an unpleasant interaction here. I was confused since the last time I came I paid around $5 for my medication, which was less than a month ago, and now today it is $20. The woman with the black and red braids gave me no answer as to why there was such a large price gap and even had me drive all the way home for an insurance card that didn’t even work, so I asked her why she told me go all the way home to get it if there was going to be no difference in price. I guess she didn’t like being called out because she snapped at me with “you made the decision to do that yourself” when she literally told me I should go get the card. Her nasty response upset me and I got aggravated at how unprofessional and disrespectful she was. She began calling me all sorts of names and curses in front of the entire store being cocky and belittling me. She also made several loud assumptive comments in front of staff and customers about me “being broke” and “not being able to afford my medication” and making comments about my job and telling me to “get more hours sweetie” in a condescending way. Really? Is this how you let your employees talk to and project their negativity onto random customers? I can afford my medicine and my finances are none of your sorry employee’s business to speak on. This could all have been avoided easily; instead of insulting me and causing all this drama, why not just answer my question? The worst part of this is how the staff saw how terrible this employee was treating me and how she was steadily making rude comments at me and they treated me like I was in the wrong and even joined in on it?? I WISH I was joking. Her piss poor attitude and less than subpar customer service skills are not enough for her to be working behind a pharmacy counter period. Insulting customers and calling them names is not cute or funny like she thinks it is. Why was it such an issue that I wanted to know why there was a large price difference in my medication??? That shouldn’t have warranted any of her comments or crappy attitude. Just because you work at a pharmacy doesn’t make you better than anyone else, and definitely doesn’t give you the right to talk to and treat people however you want. I have been in contact with corporate as well, how that employee handled everything and went off on ME after she was so rude to me is very shameful and makes Kroger as a company look terrible. It is very disgusting and bad business to make comments about ANY customer’s financial situation/job situation, the United States is in a recession if she had any situational awareness to notice. Her comments were extremely uncalled for, not to mention tone deaf and unnecessary. There are people in this country that are starving and can’t afford housing because EVERYTHING is so expensive, that’s nothing to joke or belittle anyone about. Somebody in the store or in line probably cannot actually afford their medication and she’s just behind the pharmacy counter loudly making fun of it for everyone to hear. Another pharmacist was trying to help me but she kept loudly telling her “she’s just mad because she’s broke” and inviting the others to start in on me. She also didn’t even give me my medication that I PAID for because she was too busy insulting me and having her temper tantrum. She should keep her negativity to herself next time and mind the business that pays her. So petty, ignorant, and unprofessional. Please reconsider her employment. I’m sure I’m not the only customer she has been rude to.

Why does the entire Pharmacy close for lunch? Usually lunch is scheduled for different people to go at different times so there is always someone available. The entire pharmacy shutting down is small town Mayberry. Some people use their lunch breaks to pickup meds-and there closed. What’s next, the entire store gonna close for a lunch break.

I have always loved the Kroger Pharmacy and the Pharmacist have always been helping in asking about diff medicine, but I really wish the staff that answer the phone, if u have a question or to see if a med has been filled could be trained. There is mostly one and maybe out of your staff in Richland that have been rude several times and even to the point I asked to speak to a diff person with one of the females. If they don't like their position they need to leave because I can't tell u how important attitudes matter in keeping the people there. Thank u for all u do and your help for this matter
