The emergency department at Ocean Springs Hospital is a level III trauma center providing 24-hour emergency services for residents of Jackson county and the surrounding areas. Our ER provides services for stroke, heart attack, trauma, mental health crises, and sexual assault. We see any patient for any complaint, but we have a "triage" system in the ER to first treat critically ill and injured patients. Those with minor complaints like a low-grade fever or the common cold may experience longer wait times. We take care of everyone in need, regardless of whether they are covered by insurance.
