  Tl;dr, appointment cancelled with no warning or explanation. I had a perfectly fine eye exam here, and though I was trying to find a local, non-big box retailer place I was coming up empty so I made my yearly appointment here. It was supposed to be this afternoon. The past three days have been a blur of awful stuff culminating in a terrible loss, but today my plan was to step into my life and continue. I just went to complete my check in for this appointment to find it was cancelled. I have no email telling me why, when I clicked the link in the last I email I got telling me to "Save time on the day of your visit by completing you patient forms online in advance" I get a frowny face with "Appointment canceled," no further details. So on one hand, this confirms my bias against continuing to trust this company who does not share my values, but on the other now I have to start all over again to find a provider I trust.

  Dr. Kathy Anderson is a wonderful doctor. I could tell she cares about her patients. She listed to my concerns and answered all of my questions. The staff was just as caring and so pleasant! I have finally found the right doctor and staff, that I would look forward to seeing. Thank You Tammy

  I have been coming to Target optical at Hampton since just after they opened it. I have been a loyal patient who has started to bring my family. I have recommended to friends with disbelief from them at how pleasant the experience was. Today was not that way for me. Quite frankly I am livid and debating not going back ever. Dr. Wilson was rude, did not listen or explain things well. My 10yo daughter expressed having difficulty seeing the school whiteboard a few weeks ago and was in tears because she didn't want glasses. I started using contacts at my daughter's age so I completely understood. We told this to Dr. Wilson and she did tell us that contacts are a big responsibility and usually they start kids with glasses. I expressed understanding all that but asked if we could still try contacts. At that point Dr. Wilson clearly did not agree with trying contacts, got angry, rude and started being short and dismissive and handed us off to the sale associate, Cameron (who was fantastic!) to try contacts. She even said "well she can try contacts but if she can't even get them in, there's no point in having this discussion further" in a very snippy tone and an eye roll. She told us that my daughter has myopia but failed to really explain it other than a lengthening of the eye and something about the light entering the eye. Dr. Wilson also expressed she had astigmatism but the prescriptions we received did not address the astigmatism so now I'm concerned that due to her anger and dismissive nature, my daughter did not get her issues fully addressed. She handed us some pamphlets about myopia with little verbal exchange and left us with the sale associate to finish our visit. Again, I am very cautious about returning, at least having appointments with Dr. Wilson. I had a previous visit for myself with Dr. Wilson and had similar experience of her being dismissive and rude but thought it to maybe be just a bad day for her. I'd be happy to see anyone else as I've never had problems with anyone else I've ever seen over all the years I've been coming other than her
