Full transparency, I did not receive a service at the Stretch Lab- Clayton location. I did however visit 30 min ago to purchase a gift for my mom.
Upon entry the door chimed, alerting staff a customer has entered. I was met with long awkward stares. Two employees. One mid session so I gave them a pass and assumed they didn’t want to disturb the zen or focus of the session. (A note for the future: smiles are a greeting as well) The other employee- fixated on scrolling, legs propped up on the counter, finally made a version of eye contact and took SEVERAL seconds to decide if he should speak or greet me.
For context, enough time passed for me to enter, door slowly close behind me, stand and look around, remove my sunglasses and put them away, then patiently wait to be acknowledged.
FINALLY the employee stands creeps towards the computer, clicks and says “Hi what’s your name?” I replied that I didn’t have an appointment and would like to purchase a gift card. Relieved, he says “yeah, I can get you a gift card” I asked if there are other locations? He said yes “Town & County” I told him I would visit that location.
Hopefully the Town & Country location is more alert and welcoming. Clayton location, please provide diversity training for your employees.

As someone who invests heavily in health and wellness, I committed to the required 3-month contract without hesitation. Unfortunately, the experience never matched the premium pricing.
From day one, my flexologist seemed disengaged. There was little effort to build rapport, provide feedback, or offer recommendations that would actually support my wellness goals. Conversations often felt forced, and interactions consistently felt cold and transactional.
Clients are asked to arrive early, but each time I did, I was barely acknowledged while he remained on his phone. Eventually, I directly addressed how uncomfortable and unwelcome the experience felt. While I appreciated the honesty in the response I received, it also reinforced my impression that the location was not well managed internally.
After only five sessions, I chose to pay out the remainder of my contract simply for peace of mind and not return. What stood out most was that despite being told someone would follow up after I submitted my written cancellation notice, no one ever did.
For the price point, I expected a much more professional and client-focused experience. I personally would not return and wish I had chosen Stretch U instead.
