I've worn glasses for 30 years and have had multiple pairs in that time. I work 5 days a week and I made this appointment at 10:30am on a Saturday as a second thought, after breaking my glasses on Thursday. Since my local doctors don't open on the weekends, Lens crafters was a choice out of necessity and I was expecting to have to advocate for an accurate prescription because I rarely receive one. They made me an examination at 12:30 (very nice). Upon arriving I was met at the door and they knew my name which made me feel good. I filled out the information and a team member immediately began the exam. There were testing devices that appeared to come from the future, I don't think they existed 4 years ago. Shortly after the lab tech got me through she said the Dr. Heintz Would be right in.... and he was within a minute. The doctor went through the fine tuning of my eye tests and patiently waited for me to determine which corrective lenses I could see better through and finally at the end he showed me my old scripts and new ones. I was finally getting a confident feeling that an initial eye exam was giving me my proper prescriptions the FIRST TIME, unlike past visits from different doctors I've made that resulted in returned glasses and re-examininations.
Dr. Heintz seemed to be a master of his craft and we had a fantastic conversation after the exam. I was turned over to a wonderful young lady Ari who helped me pick out frames with my specific needs in mind we built the lenses with the bells and whistles I was looking for and when I was done the total cost was so unbelievably affordable I opted to get a second pair of sunglasses with my script in them that gave me an even more cost effective pair of glasses. At the checkout I was completely blow away at the idea I was walking out with 2 pair of Oakley frames for what I was expecting to pay for 1. As a cash customer this was the first time I've EVER walked out of an eye center HAPPY! I can't wait to receive the text that my glasses are in. They did an expert job all the way around and I would no doubt recommend them, they restored my faith in the big chain eyeglass centers. 100% I've found my new eye doctor and vision center. Kudos to the entire friendly knowledgeable staff and Dr Heintz and I would recommend to anyone needing eye care. Tip of the cap!

I definitely recommend Ben! I brought my prescription from a different location since there's plenty of frames to pick from. Once I found the ones, I brought them over and Ben got me through the process really quick and he was very helpful, even gave some advice about my warranty that I'll definitely be using.

Ben helped get me into a new pair of glasses today and was super helpful, I didn't feel rushed at all. I brought in an old pair of frames I liked and the very first one he picked out to suggest were the ones I got! All around amazing experience. Thanks!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
