  The program was explicitly advertised as an indoor, animal-themed camp for ages 5-12, yet the reality was completely misrepresented and fell dangerously short of basic care standards. ​Upon pickup, it was clear that my child spent the day outside on a playground, returning home covered in bug bites. I sent both sunscreen and bug repellent with explicit intent for them to be used, yet staff clearly neglected to ensure my child was protected. ​Even more concerning, my child was not encouraged or monitored to eat their food. When I raised this concern, staff insisted that it is "up to the child to choose to eat." Expecting young children to self-regulate basic care and nutrition without staff oversight or encouragement is unacceptable caregiving. ​Furthermore, communication from your team was completely inadequate, consisting only of a brief "hi mama" rather than any meaningful updates regarding my child’s day, or well-being. ​I trusted Emerson with my child’s safety, health, and engagement. Instead, I paid for a specialized indoor experience and received an unsupervised, mismanaged environment

  It was clean and the staff were friendly. Took my boys swimming and my eight year old went over in the deep but the lifeguard helped him out safe once he went to far over

  I gave this YMCA one star because every time I play against their basketball teams the referees make up bullshit rules and don’t call things so their team would win and the people on the scoreboard sometimes would switch the points so their players would win the game. Don’t play for this ymca and if you play against them they will cheat
