  My spouse and I have been members for a few years. I love going to zumba class, and my spouse uses the weightlifting equipment. I also recently found a great trainer, Lucas, that was part of a special. Worth the cost! They have added a number of new specialty services (e.g. sauna), but we don't plan on paying the extra fees to use them.

  Loved this gym, I will still continuing to use them unfortunately. Everything was great, price changes I can understand. But totally knocking a location off and claim it as “elite” is wild. Lived 1 mile down the road from here and everything was great. Now they changed their entire system and I will not be paying more per month (already had raised prices 3 times). Because of this I have to make a 15 min detour to the next closest location in affton which now has triple the attendance due to other customers doing the same as me. Good gym, great workers, bad ownership though.

  First time at this location and I loved it! Bigger space than I'm use to in Maplewood. My son enjoyed the kids care room more. They had lots of equipment that was new to me that I haven't seen at the Maplewood location or even my other gyms which was awesome. Also, had a guy working out near me who took the time to help give me some advice....which I loved and am always open to. I can always use any help when someone is willing. I will definitely be back....this may be my new go to location when I'm not on a time crunch.

  Since this chain rebranded under the name Club Elite, I’ve noticed a shift in culture. The focus seems to have moved from member support toward surface-level upgrades and higher costs. While my membership is covered through insurance, I still find the overall direction concerning. Recently, I spoke twice in person with a manager to confirm that I could bring a camera person to film my workout. I’m physically challenged, and these sessions are part of my ongoing physical therapy. It was made clear that she would not be training, only documenting the session. I was told this would be fine and that she would simply need to sign a waiver. When we arrived the next day, the same manager contradicted those confirmations, saying she needed to purchase a day pass due to a rule I was never informed of. I had made sure to verify everything beforehand, so the sudden reversal was disappointing. I’ve been a loyal member for years and used to speak highly of this chain, but lately, it feels less people-focused and more constrained by policy and inconsistency. UPDATE: It has been a week and there has been no contact from from the gym in spite of the reply below.
