We had a wonderful experience at Pearle Vision because of our service from Rochelle. She was professional, courteous, and helpful. If she represents how all the employees of Pearle Vision treat their customers we will definitely be coming back. I will always be requesting Roachelle for all our family’s vision needs.

Since the previous eye doctor (who I very much enjoyed seeing for many years) retired they have some policies regarding retinal imagining that will only incur you more cost if you are low risk
They did not tell me that the retinal imagining was required for all telehealth visits (which as you will see online is all that they seem to be offering right now) until after I started my visit, and when I left feedback through their online form they proceeded to tell me many things about how annual exams are required everywhere in Columbia. I have looked into this and while of course as eye exam is required annually to have an active prescription and it is required that a doctor looks at your retina, the type of imaging that is not covered my insurance is not required at other eye doctors except for this with risk factors such as age, high blood pressure and diabetes. It is very sad that they have become so money hungry as to ignore evidence-based practice and subject patients to unnecessary interventions. You can look at my account and see that largely I leave positive reviews but the fact that they switched to such a system and proceed to call me to explain irrelevant and misleading information (and as I see in reviews, others have experienced this as well) is incredibly frustrating and has ruined my view of this company. I simply leave this review as they suggested I leave a review and because I am now very frustrated by their business practices and hope to save others the trouble.
The pros were that the exam was quick and the telehealth was impressively high-tech.

I was very pleased with my service at Pearle vision. My Tech was Rochelle and she was very professional and answered all of my questions so did the doctor via telehealth. Shatana was my check out person and she was very friendly and informative as well. I would definitely recommend this Pearle vision to anyone in the Columbia area!

Really upset with my visit here today. The doctor (telehealth) told me my right eye got better while my left eye got worse, and when I tried on the new contacts I immediately expressed my vision was extremely blurry. The doctor dismissed me and said that new contacts can sometimes be blurry, to which I informed her I have been wearing contacts for 20 years and trying on new contacts at every eye doctor appointment, and I have never felt my vision be blurry like this with new lenses. She kept saying “well, this is what your prescription is now,” after I said I don’t feel comfortable with them in. After going back and forth she said “okay fine do you want me to retest you?” and she begrudgingly retested me and said “see, I told you. This is your prescription.” I nodded okay as it seemed like I wasn’t going to win this conversation that was over my own eyes. I have never left a negative review on a business but I also have never been treated this way by a healthcare professional.
The only reason my experience was great here today was for the onsite staff. The girls were extremely nice and made me feel super comfortable.
