- KGKate Godfrey6 days ago5.0I had the best experience in Core Power Yoga 1 (C1) with Misty. This class was perfect for a beginner who has felt a little bit intimidated by yoga in the past. We went through a wide range of shapes from simple to more intermediate at the perfect pace for me to feel confident with my form and my flow, and C1 feels like the perfect place for me to build my yoga foundation. Misty is an excellent and welcoming teacher and I'm excited to take more classes with her and at CorePower Yoga in the future :)

- JEJeremy EdmundsJul 19, 20265.0Dropped in while traveling and figured I'd write the review I wish I'd found, since nobody covers the practical stuff. Booked the Sunday 10am C1 through ClassPass (7 credits, no issues). Mat rental was $4 at the desk, I brought my own towel, and check-in took about a minute. Heads up on arrival: from Washington Ave (look for the vertical YOGA sign) you climb a narrow, slightly dingy stairwell up to the studio. Same move as the Chicago Loop location. Trust it. It's basically a Frank Lloyd Wright trick, compression before release. The stairs open into a big bright lobby with a retail boutique, lounge seating, and that Mill District brick and black ceiling character. I walked over, easy if you're staying downtown. The facilities are better than they have any reason to be: wood lockers with hooks, benches for changing, three private showers with frosted glass doors, and the restrooms were spotless on a Sunday morning. If you want to practice and then get on with your day, you can. The C1 room has maple floors, a full mirror wall, and plenty of spacing. Comfortably warm, exactly what a C1 should be. Kylie Jasper taught and was the highlight. Chill, unhurried presence and a real mix of verbal cues, visual demos, and hands on adjustments, which you rarely get all three of from one instructor. Bonus: she has a large, striking crow tattoo, and sure enough she cued crow pose. You don't get more on brand than that. ClassPass works, rentals are cheap, showers are private, and the space is way bigger than the stairwell suggests. Would happily drop in again.
