- ABAlex BowlesAug 25, 20261.0Had my first visit to Visionary EyeCare for my annual eye exam about a year ago. Last week I received an email which looked like they had scheduled me for another eye exam soon - meaning I needed to call and cancel the exam I never booked. Whilst on the phone I asked them to remove me from their reminder emails and they said they had done so. Today, I received a text from them stating 'Last time together, we held an appointment time for you on (date) @ (time)... Please reply 1 to confirm, 2 to reschedule, 3 to cancel. So once again, they appear to make annual appointments for people who have never requested one. I did not ask them to 'hold an appointment for me' at my last visit - this is clearly a marketing tactic. I unsubscribed from these texts and figured that was the end of it. But no, this afternoon, I get an automated phone call from them, asking me to call to schedule my routine eye exam. Again, I called and asked them to stop scheduling me for appointments I don't want. I saw from the reviews I am not the only person who is dealing with this. Due to these pressure tactics, I will not be returning and will find another provider. My feedback for you would be to allow the patient to make their own appointments, if and when they want to return, as has been my experience with all other healthcare providers previously.

I understand the length of the person before me is not under their control, but there was no apology about starting late, didn’t introduce themself to me, and the appointment was very rigid with no pleasantries. I would expect some to be included for a doctor I’ve never met before.
