  Thorough eye exam at a reasonable cost. I don't have insurance so was pleased they were running a 50% off sale which made glasses more affordable.

  Do not come here if you are a person of color. I walked in here this past Sunday afternoon with my dad. Being of hispanic decent, I am not new to being treated differently and I know how to handle it. However, I have never felt disturbed enough to post a review about experiencing such inequality until now. We walked in happily, ready to buy new Sunglasses and prescription glasses as well. I was looking to buy two pairs of luxury frames to expand my collection, and my dad was looking to purchase a pair of sunglasses for himself as well. No one greeted us upon walking in, but I didn’t think twice about it as I saw they were helping a few other people. I know it is not always easy to handle a crowd. I browsed for about 45 minutes until I made a firm decision on a couple of pairs I was ready to buy. After the first ten minutes, all other customers had left without making a purchase. We were the only ones in the store. Mind you, the place is small with no devisions. We were completely visible. There were about five employees standing adjacent to us, chatting about compliments they receive on their jewelry etc. really it sounded like they were having a social, instead of doing their jobs. As I reached for one of the glasses I was interested in, a female employee reached in front of my face and moved me out of the way with her shoulder to put a pair of glasses on the shelf. I said hello with a smile and she rolled her eyes at me, walking away. By that point it became blatantly obvious that we weren’t welcome. No one acknowledged us at any point while we were in there. I still wanted to purchase the glasses, but after trying to get their attention while they conversed (I stood right in front of them about two feet away in plain view. Yes they could see me. They made eye contact. They knew we were there.) I put the glasses back, and decided we’d go to the galleria and shop there instead. On our way out, another female employee paused their conversation, turned around and said “have a nice day.” I said it back and decided that I would not be going back to this store. What a distasteful way to let a pair of customers know that you saw them, you just didn’t care. We have been homeowners in Edina for more than a decade, we are used to things like this. But as stated before, this was beyond anything we have experienced. ANYONE who comes in should be treated equally. It is clear they base their judgement and sales on ethnicity and race. Which is ironic considering the fact that we walked in to buy more than one pair of glasses. They should be ashamed of themselves. I very rarely post a review on anything, but I decided this was necessary for anyone of color to be warned of before making a purchase here. Or really anyone who doesn’t like to support businesses that undermine people in general. Because that’s what we all are. People.

  I recently took my senior parent to LensCrafters, and the doctor and the staff were just incredibly good to my mom. I highly recommend this location. Plus they did a quick repair on my sunglasses that broke free of charge. I appreciate it very much. Thank you, Gabriel
