  After 15 years and many of those years being frustrating, time to cut ties with dermatology specialists. From the constant “insurance” issues, to post authorizations not being executed until they are already expired, to doctors who don’t like to listen but rather speak over you to get to their next patient. After being prescribed minocycline for acne, what was thought to be an allergic drug reaction (which the dermatologist did not want to see me for), was then discovered to be drug-induced lupus. I have been dealing with rashes all over my body for a week. After I got the lupus diagnosis I was told I should get on a plan with my dermatologist. I called today 8/10 to hopefully get on my dermatologists schedule rather quickly. Instead of being assisted with an appointment I was directed to pay a $113 bill first. Covered in a rash caused by an antibiotic I was given. And a $113 bill being paid is more important than getting a patient seen.

  Horrible services from this place. I had Dr Buzzman for about 2 years for my hand eczema. The treatment was UVB narrow band. They charged me $186.7/treatment for the 5min light therapy, plus the 30-min commute time. I found out the cost after doing this for about 2 years. Year 1, I didn’t know the cost b/c was I have met the deductibles. I realized this in year 2 when paying for my deductibles. I then asked about doing this at home & also when travel I can continue the treatment. It took them months to order this for me. After finally receiving the unit, the insurance company told me the equipment was out of the network & asked me to pay the full price. It was $1,677! The doctor never discussed the out of network issue with me. To make it worse, the equipment’s treatment area is only 3 inches wide. I can’t spread out my fingers. Even if I keep my fingers closed, my thumbs would be outside of the light. They basically ordered something out of network that doesn’t even cover my entire hand. Very irresponsible practice and ignore the burden on patients. If you want to just pay them for not doing the proper care, this is the place.
