I have been a loyal LensCrafters customer for several years. Although my eye exams are now handled by a specialist, I have consistently purchased my frames and lenses through LensCrafters.
When I stopped in on 8/16 to replace my broken glasses, I expected help finding a solution. Instead, I was met with smugness, belligerence, and a complete unwillingness to assist.
I then visited a competing optical retailer and experienced the exact opposite. Their staff immediately helped me contact my optometrist, obtain my current prescription, and temporary solutions until my new glasses arrive.
Customer service matters, especially when a customer is dealing with an unexpected problem. Unfortunately, my experience at LensCrafters made it clear that my loyalty meant very little.

Had the BEST experience at LensCrafters Eden Prairie Center with Patricia. I can’t say enough about how positive I feel about my new glasses after having so much trouble with my progressives over the past years. Patricia knew exactly how to fit my glasses and gave her opinion based on her professional knowledge in a way that still affirmed my tastes and choices. She worked swiftly and effectively. I learned things I never knew about how progressives work from her and during my eye exam which was excellent as well. Patricia knew all about the costs, discounts, and protections and explained it all. I got a fabulous discount with my choice as well. I can’t recommend Lens Crafters and Patricia more highly!!

Screw fell out of my glasses while on a motorcycle trip across country. I'm from out of town, so not a regular customer. Brian stopped everything and helped me out. Very friendly and saved my trip!

Brian and the team saved my life! Well not quite that extreme, but I lost my old glasses the night before a trip and needed to get a new pair in one day. I walked in, fortunately I had a copy of my prescription...they swung into gear, confirmed they had a pair of lenses and had me go pick out frames. There was lot going on in my head with all things needed to be done before my trip and I was just staring at several walls of frame choices. Abdhi, saw my 'deer in a headlights look' and calmly presented me with a tray of a few choices he had curated for me. I quickly gravitated to one of them and they had me measured and out the door on my way to work. Brian said he would have them ready by the end of the day and he called me in a couple hours saying they were ready to go! I came in put them on, they fit and worked perfect!! Great job team! Lenscrafters corporate...take care of these guys...fantastic example of customer service in a world that doesnt deliver too much of it anymore! Thanks again!! --Jon

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
