  I just experienced the best, most caring eye exam that I have ever had, and this took place at the LensCrafters in the Southland mall. My son had been encouraging me to go there for the last three years, but I just continued my habit of going to my previous provider. After a bad exam experience (at the Henry Ford OptimEyes right across the street from LensCrafters) last year, followed by a frustrating year of not really being able to see well through my contact lenses, I decided to give LensCrafters a try. From the moment I walked in the door, the entire team was so friendly and welcoming. My exam experience was terrific. The doctor listened to my explanation about not being able to see well through my current contact lenses, then confidently said that she’s going to fix that. She took the time to perform a thorough exam, carefully checking along the way and asking about my preferences. She explained exactly what she was recommending and why she was recommending it. Then, she put me into a trial pair of lenses that addressed to my astigmatism as well as my distance and up- close vision needs. I could immediately tell that these were the right lenses for me. I went out to the lobby to be greeted by two engaging women who helped me select frames for my glasses. While I spoke with one, the other went and selected several pairs of frames that she thought might work well for me. To my surprise, there was only one that didn’t quite fit, and the rest were all great for my face. It was (by far) the easiest and most effective frame selection process ever! The staff at LensCrafters checked every option with my insurance carrier to see what would be most cost-effective options for me. They then also applied a $50 coupon that my son had to my purchase as well. As I was leaving LensCrafters, I was thinking that I had just had a fantastic experience, and I was wishing that I had gone to LensCrafters three years before when my son first told me about them. All day, I was marveling at how well I was finally seeing. LensCrafters has my highest recommendation. Give LensCrafters Southland mall a try for your next exam. You will be glad you did!

  Absolutely wonderful team working there. Dr. Haddad isn’t a normal “boring” doctor. Dr. Haddad makes sure you are knowledgeable on everything that is happening throughout your eye exam. Kayla* made the check-in process easy while Mrs. Wendy was awesome help in picking out frames! Truly a great experience.
