  I like the 24/7 weekday hours, wish they stayed open longer on the weekends.

  I've been going to Powerhouse for over a decade. One of the great aspects of Powerhouse is the fact that they're 24-hour gyms. I believe the gym at once was 24 hours 7 days a week however it no longer is and it's pretty sad. There's been multiple times over the past couple years that I've gone to the gym and they are closed it seems like they constantly change their hours without updating any of the members, and it looks like they're constantly shortening hours more and more. When I spoke with one of the general managers he was very rude and pompous over the phone. Unfortunately when someone tries to be a better manager sometimes they actually end up hurting the business I believe this to be the case. There are some young men that manage that are totally awesome. However does seem some of the staff is kind of rude, this is something that starts at the top. Anyways will hopefully you're reading this, the gym itself is pretty great it'd be nice if you guys went back to a full 24 hour schedule and maybe coached the staff on better customer service other than that I think you guys are doing pretty good.

  Coming from Minneapolis to the Detroit area I wasn’t ready to see a gym like this! This gym is real clean and has every piece of equipment I’ve ever heard of. This is got to be the best gym I’ve ever been to! It’s huge! Customer service is outstanding. Sam the Manager really took care of me. He showed me around the gym and he also showed me how to use the lockers and was very friendly!

  Not a good gym for pool fitness because the pool is not heated, freezing cold. For a person with Fibromyalgia it is damaging.

  Read all the fine print. Not able to cancel your membership before 1 year? What ?? I just signed up like 2 weeks ago or less… how is this a thing? I need to pay $180 to cancel or just deal with the 12 months of paying. Was never told this when i signed up. You read the agreements before you sign up for apps? This is a huge scam of a gym and every chance they get they upcharge you for something. Buyer beware. I am blown away i need to pay $180 to cancel when i only went here LESS THAN 14 days!!
