Please excuse the length but after you read then you will understand! I ordered Meta 3 ($499-$599 glasses from Lens Crafters in Woodlawn Mall, Grand Rapids, Michigan! I’m so up set and distraught!! I meet with Emma explained what I NEEDED in my glasses and transitioning was the main due to my eyes being sensitive to light/Sun! She asked me what color….I picked grey and want the darkest of dark. I picked my glasses on 6/21/26 and used them on 6/22/26. Lo and behold NO TRANSITION TENT 😡😡😡😡!! For one these glasses are not cheap especially the newest: latest. I was using up my FSA and my vision insurance because my employment was ending on 6/20/26!
I call LensCrafters in Woodland Mall Michigan on 6/22/26, I was on hold for a long time. The guy came back. Said, I thank for your patience but I’m sorry it and I know this was our (Emma) mistake. Put me on hold again. Then came back and told me that I would have to pay 300+ dollars to have transitions added in. Why???? should I as a customer have to pay for a mess up that Emma made and not me!!! I should not have to pay for her mess up!!! That is her fault and is Lynn Crafters’s fault not my fault. And when LensCrafters cannot do their job right or uphold and take responsibility for what they messed up and rectify it is ridiculous and unprofessional! As a new shopper with them I feel disappointed, upset, mad, very EMOTIONAL FOR future shopper getting META glasses OR any other glasses. When placing your order you better check, double check? and double check. And when you pick them up, you need to check, double check, and double check.!!!!!!! If not, they will do you wrong not rectify their mistake!! I am literally sick to my stomach because I have expensive glasses Meta and what can I do with them? If I want some clear glasses I would’ve bought some clear glasses. However, I know due to having sensitive eyes that I need transitions on my glasses.
I will let everyone know not to do anything with LensCrafters at Woodland Mall and Grand Rapids Michigan. And I pray that the other LensCrafters in different states or other LensCrafters in the state of Michigan rectify their mistakes and not put it off on the customer!!!!!

I am normally not one to leave reviews, I tend to think every one will have separate opinions of their experience, but, I came to look at frames, was not greeted when I came in, and no one came up to ask if I needed help while I was there. This was not my first time in this particular location with out being greeted but at least I wasn't told when they close, which I normally am, making me feel like I need to leave sooner. While they have a large selection, when looking at different options, I was not told I could also see different colors for the same frame until I found it myself on their wall display. Truly did not feel as though I would have the chance to place an order as they all seemed like they were too busy to work with me, even though there was only one other family in with me. Not impressed with the repeat behavior I have experienced with this location.

I broke my glasses and traveled here for an event. Dusty took me in and immediately helped me in finding new frames and getting me a new pair of glasses in under 30 minutes! He was a lifesaver and everyone was so accommodating to my short timeline! Very great experience overall and now I have shiny new glasses 😁

Very eye catching selection for both regular eye glasses and sunglasses. Very happy with the knowledge and helpfulness from Yamilet. She was very patient as I tried many different pairs of glasses on and could not make up my mind. I almost stayed with the glasses I had brought in from years ago. She showed me all the plans and services and complete information on all the glasses. Thank you kindly, Dianne R.0lson
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
