Nice frames here but please make sure that you know your insurance plan before purchasing ANYTHING! Unfortunately they blatantly tried to scam me and make me pay more for the frames themselves in total. Once questions arose, as I’m aware of how providers try to scam based on who my mom works for, more was revealed once I called my insurance company on the spot to get better clarification. Conclusion: I paid less than $85 for a pair of coach sunglasses originally priced at $203, with their scammed price being $280+ just to gauge the situation. And I say scammed price because they did not include my insurance in the price, knowing that I came in to utilize my last day on it, and that’s what the rep and I were discussing as I purchased another pair the day before and was wanting to know about the rebate option previously discussed with the rep from the first purchase.
Also before I dialed the 1-800 she was halfway into their system to submit my claim for me through my insurance. Which let me know that she could’ve just done that the whole time .. because YES, THEY CAN SUBMIT IN YOUR CLAIMS FOR YOU, INCLUDING REBATES, ACCORDING TO HER AND MY INSURANCE BTW!
But because the truth was exposed, with grace and understanding might I add, I was led with a gut feeling telling me that my sunglasses being “delayed” because of “damages” was false.
NOTE: when picking up the first frames (I purchased two, a day apart: reg and sunglasses), I was expecting to pick up both; only to be met with the “damages” answer that was in the “notes of my account”.
—HERES THE WEIRD PART!:
I let a few days go by and then I called to get an update and better details on damages for my insurance, and no one could give me an answer, nor did they have previous knowledge of a damage claim, but told me that they’d be in within a few days… only to get a text less than 25 minutes later that they were there..
That let me know that someone was caught trying to be funny or be spiteful in some way with my prescribed sunglasses. Yes the head Dr was present, leaving out, but present enough to eaves drop before doing so during that purchase. They know what they’re doing, they just thought I didn’t know the game. Please make sure you’re doing your due diligence with any medical office!
This is for clarity and peace within the consumer, and not for the sake of systems and companies who try to thrive off of the greed from squeezing every penny from anyone who walks through your doors. Yuck energy!
Peace and love 💌++
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
