- DPdyan picnicMar 26, 20265.0A resident of downstate Michigan, I experienced sudden change in vision while upnorth. Having wet AMD, my doctor had told me if this ever happened to see a doctor asap. I found Gaylord Eye Care in my search for emergency care. They scheduled me an appointment immediately. When I walked in I thought perhaps I had made a mistake. The establishment looked like any optometrist location that did eye exams and sold glasses. Boy was I surprised at the care I received! Not only was everyone professional, friendly and helpful, the office has up to date equipment and staff who are very well trained. I saw Dr. Banek, an optometrist who thoroughly examined my eyes, did the same tests that my ophthalmologist would do, and said I needed to see a retinal specialist sooner than later! The office set to work on trying to get me an appointment asap. I can’t give the Gaylord Eye Care clinic enough praise! They we’re GREAT!
