  On August 10th Patriot picked me up from my address I was very ill I had been sick for several days. They walked me from my porch to the ambulance. In route to the hospital they set me on the bench not the gurney and as I had asked if I could lay down because I was so ill I was told know that that's for more extreme cases. I had chills from so much diarrhea and vomiting over the previous days. I had asked him if I could have the blanket on the gurney again I was told no that's for more extreme cases. Is we were getting on 475 to to head to Henry Ford genesys hospital I was on the bench and when they turned the corner to get on the expressway I slid down the bench the guy in the back with me said oh you're not even buckled and proceeded to buckle me. They did no vitals no IV. When they got me out at the ambulance at Henry Ford Genesis hospital they again walked me from the ambulance into the hospital after I had requested a wheelchair . I was released later that evening after a couple bags of IV fluid. 6 days later I was still not feeling good just off I want to see my primary and he re-admitted me for dehydration and my platelets were low. I told my doctor they can call any ambulance except for Patriots. How I was treated like instead of a patient that was very ill. Henry Ford hospital I had several tests done I was then diagnosed with c diff and cryptosporidium with the underlying condition of colitis. The team of doctors that came in to see me told me another 24 to 48 hours you wouldn't be with us right now. Around 10 days later when I was home I'm feeling better I talked to Jamie at Patriot ambulance and told him what had happened he was extremely apologetic and said he would not also pay for this ride from hell he was so sorry that this happened to me he told me he deleted the bill continue to ask if we are good if he deletes the bill. ( Jamie Patriot supervisor my understanding). Almost 10 weeks later I get a bill for $700 for that ride from hell. I call Patriot back they said that we had never spoke there was never an agreement about the bill or Jamie never relayed the message to the billing company? The billing company was supposed to call me back within 48 hours I never heard nothing. A $700 ambulance bill to go 6 mi when treated unfairly is unethical. I will see you in court. I hope no one else goes through the same thing that happened to me I was miserable and it was horrible.

  Not entirely sure who the drivers were. But both were really friendly, and took great care to ensure my daughter was transported safely. And that she did not have to sit alone at the facility until I was able to get there. Great job to all involved, and to the leadership overseeing them. All around great experience, and will be request services from Patriot, should I need it in the future.

  I had dislocated my shoulder leaving it in a raised position. It was excruciating pain if moved in any direction. They helped calm me and transport me even though i was in such pain. They were professional and as courteous as I allowed them to be. Thanks for all you did to get me to the hospital safely, even with the Flint bumpy roads!

  My wife had the Misfortune to need an ambulance ride while we were visiting family in Michigan. When we called to set up a payment plan they were not willing to help us unless we did automatic payments which we don’t do. We said we would make payments every month but was told we would be sent to collections even after explaining that she is on a fixed income and I am a disabled veteran. Yet they are a proud veteran organization. Very unfortunate.
