Formerly Cowan Chiropractic, Pro-Active Chiropractic and Wellness is a progressive health care facility in Clarkston led by Dr. Ken Murkowski II and Dr. Matthew Rayis. Since our inception in 1976, we have focused on guiding patients through proactive models of preventative and functional spinal care.
Our team utilizes advanced techniques including gentle spinal adjustments, Shockwave Therapy, spinal decompression, physical rehabilitation, and clinical nutrition to assist patients of all ages. We offer flexible appointment hours Monday through Friday.
We are proud to serve Clarkston, Waterford, Ortonville, Pontiac, and surrounding communities with patient-centered, results-driven wellness care.

He actually educated me and took images instead of just jumping into adjustments that you're questioning if they are doing anything. I was recommended from a close friend and I would highly recommend him or Dr. Matt to anyone looking for a new chiropractor.

- MLMichelle LynnAug 9, 20265.0I recommend Pro-Active Chiropractic and wellness, because I have been to many different chiropractors in my life and I find this one to be the best. I’ve been going here for years, even before the current owners. The main reasons I recommend them is because they’re thorough, very quick, and in my opinion, a good adjustment is almost equivalent to a body massage but better. Usually the wait for your appointment isn’t long. The doctor will assess your condition, and take x-rays if necessary . During the adjustment, Dr. Matt will take his time with you, even possibly stretching your muscles and instructing you on home exercises, if necessary. They have a nice facility, all employees are very friendly, and they accept my insurance with a minimal co-pay.
