  So it was 3:20 pm and I tried to go into urgent care because they close at 4pm. The lady tells me that they aren't taking any more patients and I said there is still forty minutes and she replied yea it's because they are to packed. Mind you, the parking lot is empty and there was only one other person in the waiting room! If you don't want to do your job then quit.

  Ronald J Flak, NP is the most condescending healthcare “provider” I’ve ever encountered. I’m approximately 7 weeks pregnant with a sore throat and ear pain. I chose this urgent care specifically because I received great care the last time I went there. I informed the nurse of all my symptoms and my allergies. The first question out of his mouth was “so you’re pregnant and nauseous in the morning, do you know what morning sickness is?” DUDE, I’m nauseous all day. But being stuck on the toilet all morning isn’t a normal pregnancy symptom. Neither is a sore throat or ear pain. I replied and told him I’ve been pregnant before and I know that a sore throat and ear pain are not normal pregnancy symptoms. He then looks and acknowledges that my ear is red and offers to prescribe one of the medicines clearly listed as an allergy on the paper right in front of him. He leaves the room to “look and see if there is anything else he can give me.” He comes back and says he is not going to help me and refer me to my OBGYN. I called my OBGYN and she laughed at his suggestion and told me to either go to my PCP or another urgent care. I called Burton UC back and left my name and number for management to return my call and I’ll be requesting a refund because Ronald wasted my time and provided no care. It is time for him to retire. Also, attaching a screenshot for reference of medication options, maybe he can learn, had I thought about it while I was there, I would have asked him why these weren’t options.

  I am going to screenshot my review along with proof and attach it here, unfortunately it is too long to post. I urge ANYONE considering to go to this urgent care to please read it, this will be your greatest mistake if you come here for treatment. I plan to escalate a complaint to the OCR, LARA, and the State of Michigan. Corrective action, accountability and retraining need to be done immediately! One thing I forgot to mention is that the doctor called in ear drops when he never examined her ears and we both relayed to him that her ears were fine.
