- MNMarcia NovakJul 30, 20261.0About 6 months ago I went to eye mart express for an exam, dr valila examined my eyes and mentioned that I had macular degeneration in my right eye but that it had corrected itself. I was sure that that was not true. I waited a week or two, and then I called back and inquired about the examination and Dr. Valla said that she never told me that and that macular degeneration was never charted for me. Today I went to eye specialty Institute and I have macular degeneration in my right eye. Now I have to see a retinol specialist. Dr. Vila does not know what she is doing and I have zero confidence in anything that she did or said. User beware, make sure you know why you are going to see that doctor and be sure that you follow up in investigations.
