I have had weekly massages for 5 weeks. Thanks to her great techniques and knowledge she has given me unbelievable pain reduction. I no longer need any pain medication. The only thing I’m afraid of is becoming addicted to her massage.

I started doing the wedwave vibration plate & red-light therapy during a time when I was experiencing a high level of stress, very tight muscles, and a difficulty stretching them. The vibration plate really helped to loosen the muscles enough for me to be able to start stretching them again & the red-light felt so good! I lost a few lbs during the several weeks that I did the medwave therapy, though I gained them right back. I did however, shift in shape/lost some inches! (I didn't take any measurements... 🤦♀️) But I found my waist line again, & started fitting into clothing that had become too tight. And that has stayed the same!
Working with Bekkah during this time was a highlight of the day! She is genuinely concerned about her clients health & wellness. We have had numerous conversations where she has answered all my questions, to the best of her ability, & given much feedback, offering suggestions of holistic things that I can do to feel better, covering a wide range of topics.
I am glad that I had the opportunity to give this kind of therapy a try!

I highly recommend Bekkah for anyone looking for effective deep tissue work and advanced wellness options. Her deep tissue massages are incredibly therapeutic, targeting tension and helping with pain relief and muscle recovery. The red light therapy program is an amazing addition and has helped improve recovery, energy, and overall well-being. A great choice for anyone serious about self-care and results!

Bekkah is an excellent massage therapist with a great personality. She made me feel comfortable in what can be an awkward situation. Her hands are strong and you can tell she is well trained. I will be back.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bekkah @ People's & Blue Rose Wellness
What makes deep tissue massage different from just using firm pressure?
True deep tissue technique warms tissues with lighter strokes before applying deeper pressure, using anatomical knowledge to target specific muscle layers. Simply pressing hard without proper tissue preparation can cause bruising and doesn't effectively release chronic tension. Graduated pressure application allows muscles to relax progressively rather than contract defensively.
How does the 10-minute intake assessment affect my massage treatment?
The assessment maps your specific pain patterns, movement limitations, and treatment goals before the session begins. This evaluation determines which combination of techniques—myofascial release, trigger point therapy, or deep tissue—will address your particular condition. Sessions are tailored based on assessment findings rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Why does Med Wave red light therapy use 585 wavelength specifically?
The 585 wavelength targets mitochondria at the cellular level to support energy production, reduce inflammation, and aid fat loss. This manufacturer-preset wavelength penetrates tissues effectively without requiring adjustment. Maine's long winters and limited natural sunlight make consistent red light exposure especially beneficial for cellular function.
What's the difference between trigger point therapy and regular massage?
Trigger point therapy maps referred pain patterns—identifying how a trigger point in your shoulder might cause headaches or arm pain. Cross-body trigger responses are assessed during treatment since tension in one area often creates compensating tension elsewhere. This requires advanced palpation skills to locate precise points causing distant symptoms.
How does Maine's cold climate affect the need for myofascial release?
Cold weather causes fascia to tighten and become less pliable, creating restrictions that limit mobility and cause chronic pain. Physical work demands combined with cold exposure create stubborn fascial adhesions. Myofascial release uses sustained pressure to unwrap these restrictions, which requires patience and understanding of how fascia responds.
