- JGJason GutekunstAug 22, 20265.0The highlight (and main purpose) for this recent excursion to Portland, ME, was my visit to the Warby-Parker store on Middle St. in the Old Port. The retail agents in the store were swift to offer assistance, and when I presented a more precise agenda than mere 'browsing', with a predetermined idea of what I wanted, the agent with whom I worked (Emily) pivoted expertly to accommodate me, and then balanced her attentiveness with the space I needed to try on various frames, take some notes, and make a final determination that best suited my needs. The agent also walked me through the insurance dimension and it was rather nice to have her put the request in to my insurance agency, on my behalf- a minor detail that I've done before, but it added an additional component to the 'airy' experience I had at WB this past Thursday... I breezed in and out, with nary a worry, and look forward to receiving by mail my new frames, just in time to start a new school year. Threee cheers to Portland's Middle Street Warby Parker and staff!
