  Our family greatly appreciated the responsiveness and help of the team from Home Instead (based in Gorham, Maine) during the month after my dad broke bones in both feet. Some of the positives included care consultant Kathy Damon’s integrity, kindness, reasonable assessment and problem-solving; the company’s fair contract; and the scheduling staff’s ability to provide timely assistance and kind, helpful, reliable, respectful, flexible caregivers for many overnight and day shifts. Because of the support from Home Instead, family was able to get sleep and rest through that stressful, unsettling time; and our dad was able to heal in his assisted living apartment with our mom without the stress and confusion of moving to a rehabilitation facility. Of the three home care companies we explored—and the two we hired—Home Instead was the most comfortable and best with whom to work. I remain very thankful for that group of people.

  Home Instead Gorham provides exceptional caregivers and support for families. I can't say enough. Their team of care professionals has supported us in every way possible, from high-quality care for our parents to careful organization and timely communication on various issues we have worked through to keep our aging loved ones at home. We are grateful for the wonderful, patient, well-trained, gentle, wise, kind caregiver assigned to help our dad, and our family has also much appreciated the opportunity for occasional check ins directly with HI Owner Bill, who generously shares his time and experience, providing guidance, information and compassionate support for our mom as the primary caregiver, as she is navigating a daily life that is increasingly challenging. The HI team and caregiver Miguel have exponentially improved the quality of life for our parents, and they keep our whole family moving forward. I have so much appreciation for this organization and the beautiful way they care for our loved ones, and their family members as well. Thank you.

  This company among a few others saved my life when my nervous system was so bad I couldn't leave my apt to get food in 2015 to 2016. They would buy groceries for me when I was 105 lbs and starving. Good decent people!!

  HomeInstead is doing a wonderful job taking care of my mom. Everybody I have met has been has been top notch and mom is doing very well under their care.
