The team at the Riverdale LensCrafters are nothing short of the best. I purchased glasses from here for my daughter with a replacement plan. During a trip, her glasses broke and when we went to return them we learned that you had to bring in the broken ones to get the replacement price. Their manager Dawn, recognizing we made an honest mistake, gave us a significant discount on a replacement pair and additional insurance. They are professional, curiosity, and knowledge. I will be a repeat customer to this location!

Do not go here to get eye exam unless you want to be talked down to condescendingly. Kept telling me to try harder and that's it's really not that difficult after I said I'm already trying my best with their stupid and overcomplicated retinal imaging procedure. Dr. Crystal Kang has given me the worst optometrist experience ever.

Have bought multiple pairs of glasses from this location. Came by today to return a pair since they weren’t working for me. They claim to offer 30 day return windows and I was within one week since buying them. When I arrived, in spite of it being more than 30 minutes past opening time the doors were locked and most of the staff was waiting outside for someone to come open the store. They advised me go run other errands in the shopping center until the store was opened. I came back about half an hour later once the doors had been unlocked and explained I needed to make a return. At this point, I was told to go sit and wait for a bit. Eventually someone came to tell me that their computer system wasn’t up and running yet and it would take yet another 45 minutes for the computer system to start working to process my return. At this point, what was supposed to be a quick errand had dragged on to be delayed by hours. I gave up and went home without making my return. I guess I’ll try making this supposed 30 day happiness return at a different location.

The manager who sold glasses to me was amazing, his name is Chad. I found out the next day his store is in Pentagon, he was filling in Riverdale the day I met him. When I tried talking to the untrained young lady behind the counter the next day, baby it was a whole different experience. She wouldn’t even turn on the computer to help me. She said she didn’t know what Chad did so she was not helping and I would have to wait for another manager to return from lunch. The man working beside her helped me and the manager apologized. Who are they hiring over there little cousins?

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
