Cannot recommend this gym, especially for serious strongman/ power lifter/ lifter women. I've had several issues with this gym, tried out a different location, and got hit on repeatedly on my first day there. THIS location is not set up with short people in mind, and I even asked a manager (?) if they have anyone short in management, he said unfortunately no, which shows. Basic equipment like wooden blocks are too tall, which we're then told to use aerobic steps and stack them, which is an injury waiting to happen. There is one piece of equipment available between everyone for things like leg raises, which often means you're waiting. I've watched trainers and clients flirt heavily. Or just other clients hitting on each other. I asked if they could get certain basic equipment and got told the gym is commercial for everyone, that they wouldn't get things like a log, which, fine, but even their trap bar is undersized so there's no way to load over roughly 4-55lb bumper plates. On top of it, even their trainers often do not know the weight of their base equipment, such as the barbells and trap bar, which is bizarre. I asked 3 trainers what the weight of the trap bar was so I could safely load it to my current lifting goal and none of them could tell me. There's more I could say, but basically I'm extremely disappointed.
Very commercial gym feel, I can't wait until my contract is over, I have not enjoyed my time with this chain. I got stuck due to the hard sales pitch tactics, which is my fault for getting caught by but honestly we're waiting for it to run out. I asked to be let out of my contract due to them not being able to provide equipment that I need for my medical condition, my trainer for my medical condition is not able to train with me there because they have their own trainers none of which are trained with my medical condition, and because the other person in my membership both cannot train there due to a new health problem and does not like it there, but they said no. They said he can get a doctor's note, but he doesn't have a PCP so he cant. So I'm stuck with a contract I don't want, a system that won't work with you, and giving a review so maybe somebody else is not stuck like I am.
My 5 yo has been doing private swim lessons at Brick bodies in Timonium and he has improved so much! After only doing about 4 lessons he’s able to float on his own :)

I am writing this review for Louis Roman, Personal Trainer at BB, because he has truly changed my life.
In 2013, I was involved in a severe car accident that left me with fractured discs between L1-L5, degenerative disc disease, intense sciatic nerve pain, and partial paralysis from the waist down. At that time, I struggled with mobility and was told that I might never be able to walk upright or move the way I once did. It was a heartbreaking and uncertain time in my life.
Then I met Louis Roman.
Louis has an incredible understanding of anatomy, muscle groups, and how the body works. He does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. He carefully designs exercises based on my specific condition, focusing on strengthening the right muscles, improving my movement, and helping me regain confidence in my body.
What makes Louis different is not only his knowledge but also his dedication. He has been patient, encouraging, and committed to helping me push beyond what I thought was possible. He saw my potential even when I had doubts.
Today, I can proudly say that I am not only able to walk upright again, but I can also run. My strength, confidence, independence, and overall quality of life have improved in ways I never imagined.
Louis is more than a personal trainer—he is someone who helped me reclaim a part of my life that I thought I had lost. His expertise, compassion, and commitment to his clients are truly exceptional.
If you are looking for a personal trainer who understands the body, creates personalized programs, and genuinely cares about your progress, I cannot recommend Louis Roman highly enough. I will always be grateful for the role he has played in my journey.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time being a member at this club. The facility is clean, equipment kept in good condition, and staff is always friendly. It is a smaller and quieter atmosphere compared to the Padonia location - which is not a bad thing! I actually prefer it, as the gym still has all the equipment and group fitness classes I would want. I have been training with Louis for 6 months now and have been very pleased with my experience. He is knowledgeable about fitness, anatomy, and nutrition which has made him invaluable in helping me build a consistent and achievable routine while still pushing me to reach my goals. I have worked with other trainers in the past who are good, but Louis is exceptional at diagnosing and finding a solution to just about any anatomical or mobility problem I present to him. Overall, a great gym that I recommend to everyone in the area!

This is NOT the main hub gym that Padonia is. Workouts are the same. Towel service is still the same. HOWEVER, showers are much smaller. When I turned around in the shower, I knocked the door open. While warm water for a shower is almost instantaneous at Padonia; here you need to wait at least a minute before you will even start to have hot water. Padonia has 6 HydroMassage chairs for massages after a hard workout. Here there are only 3. No Pure, Raw Juice for snacks here. No place to sit down in Women's locker room to dry hair or put on makeup. No tv shows in Women's locker room. Same gym; but really comprised.
