- MMMichael B MaxwellJul 30, 20265.0I split a tooth and had to get a crown. I'm of course not a dentist, but as far as I could tell the whole procedure was done very professionally. I was also given the choice for my permanent crown between gold and ceramic (I think that's the term), and warned that the gold would be much more expensive. Indeed it turned out to be, but from what I've read it's worth it. (Charming Smiles doesn't control the price of the actual permanent crown, they get it from a supplier. Blame the price of gold now.)
