  If you want to be laughed at after coming to pick up your sister, who has been in the ER for days dealing with a maelstrom of mental health and other health issues, then please come here. My sister’s discharge nurse laughed at us and gossiped about us right in front of us because we asked for gloves and alcohol wipes so we could safely administer her injections at home. At first, she condescendingly told us that we should just buy some. You never know what someone else is going through, and the complete lack of compassion was revolting. But to add further insult to an already painful situation, the nurse then went a few steps away and blatantly made fun of my mother and our situation with another staff member. Don’t worry—we will be reporting this behavior, along with the woman who participated in laughing and gossiping about us. Every time I come here, it becomes increasingly clear that some of the nurses and staff lack the empathy and compassion necessary to care for people who are already going through incredibly difficult situations. My sister deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. No patient or family member should be mocked, belittled, or made to feel ashamed for asking for help. This will be the last time my family tolerates this kind of treatment. My sister is not going to be treated like dirt simply because certain staff members seem to think someone else’s difficult situation is something to laugh about. We have just lost our father not that long ago at the same place.

  I am only writing a review to spread awareness. I went to this ER because I was possibly exposed to rabies through an animal bite. I arrived around 2am and didn't leave until after 8am, but in my experience, waiting multiple hours is often standard for the ER. However, I experienced a medical error while being treated here. I had the rabies immunglobulin administered into my arm rather than at the bite site, which is incorrect. I had a bad feeling about my treatment and did some research the following day. I ended up calling the health department and they confirmed my treatment was administered incorrectly and that I should go back and have it redone. I came back to this ER and they did fix it, but I had to wait an additional 2 or so hours. Luckily, I did my own research and was informed, but for someone else, this error could have been life-threatening since rabies is a fatal disease. I think this ER needs to spend more time educating their staff, because even in the description of the medication I was given, it says that rabies immunglobulin must be administered at the wound site. Everyone makes mistakes, but the nurses should know how to administer medications and what proper treatment protocols are. My advice to anyone is to do your own research so you can be aware when you may be experiencing a potential medical error. I give 2 stars because my experience with the staff there was generally good. They were kind and respectful.

  I arrive at 3:00 am Wednesday morning for severe back pain not able to walk , is 7:35 am and still at the waiting room to be seen. Worths hospital, I have never had to wait this long in an emergency room ever!!

  If I can give this less than this I would WORST AND SLOWEST ER I EVER BEEN TO , I was in the worst pain like some 11/10 pain crying in all I’ve been waiting it the waiting room for almost 4 hours and. I have yet to be sat down in a room my finger feel like it’s about to fall off turn different colors and completely got worse since I been sitting here this is completely unacceptable
