  Dr. Henderson is a wonderful psych but the facility isn't willing to work with you on missed appointments. I offered to pay the out-of-pocket cost of my third strike to avoid being discharged, and was informed I would have to pay all three, in which case I don't see why they don't just have a one-strike system. EDIT: Response to comment—Never having been informed of or encouraged to pay said fine/fees, it strikes me rather like a landlord letting a tenant go without paying rent and then expecting it all back at once.

  Money hungry/ no holistic care. Went here to find a medicine to help manage my depression, was told that I needed to be put into a hospital on the very first visit. I, along with my caregiver filled out paperwork the first hour, then I was taken into a different room (separate from my caregiver) to be questioned. This is not only illegal because I’m a minor, but also highly unprofessional and suspicious. A nurse practitioner questioned me for 25 minutes. Nurse looked as though they didn’t care about what I was saying. Brought my caregiver into the room and immediately began telling them that I needed to be in a hospital setting right after we left that day. Didn’t explain anything to my caregiver about why they thought that. While being questioned, the nurse stated “I can tell when someone is serious about going through with it” which is obviously false. Didn’t tell my caregiver about any of their policies. My caregiver asked if they could take me to a certain hospital that they hadn’t recommended, and both the psychologist and nurse promptly declined. I found out later that the hospital my caregiver asked about was privately owned (meaning they couldn’t profit off of sending people there). I assume they do this to many if not all of their patients in order to profit off of them. They lied about what I’d told the nurse as well as lying about statements other around me said. Do not go here for medicine. Although the service was great at first, that doesn’t excuse their money hungry attitudes. I would not recommend that anyone go here much less bring a minor here.

  Broke HIPA laws by not only giving my emergency contract private information about my mental health and what was said between me and my doctor but also gave false information regarding to my mental health. Called me drug seeking when I was only on 4 pills a month of ativan and truly doesn’t understand addiction issues and how it plays hand in hand with mental health. Left numerous voicemails claiming that I was just a junkie addict drug seeking and that I needed to get help when the reality was I just needed to get inpatient mental health Help and she was by no means understanding of my agoraphobia and emetophobia cptsd and borderline personality disorder. I saw her for over three years and was pleased until I had a mental break down last summer in 2020. Not gonna lie she’s a great doctor when you’re not a recovering drug addict and has no experience and warped views on addiction. Honestly all the unnecessary wellness checks on me from the police was traumatic, not being heard and not being trusted with my judgement was the end of it for me. Just because you are a recovering addict doesn’t mean you need to suffer and by all means this woman made me suffer to no end. I’m truly disappointed after all this trust over the years. I would not recommend her to anyone anymore.
