  I sincerely can’t believe university put their name on this place I would have never imagined this place would be so dysfunctional. You’ll literally die waiting to be seen, or go to sleep waiting 2 hrs for discharge papers. By far the filthiest hospital if ever been in. This is insane.

  I have been to almost every hospital in Maryland, and this was my first time stepping foot into this facility. I worked in the medical field in public safety and was appalled at the condition of the “ room “ my child was place in inside the pediatric wing . I started to clean the room myself bc my children didn’t even want to sit down . A nurse finally looked up from the nurses station and questioned why I was using sani wipes with a gloved hand . She quote says “ it may look like we don’t clean the rooms but we do “. I dont appreciate being told that I’m not seeing what I’m seeing with my own eyes. The floor was sticky and filthy and there chair my child was placed in was so cracked there is absolutely NO WAY body fluids , bacteria etc didn’t seep into the cushions … that’s not sanitary !It was Saturday night and I understand that all the rooms are full, and there are no beds available and that was probably the reason my child was stuck into a room that is not usually used, but that is no reason for it to be absolutely filthy. The physician that she saw was thorough and had great bedside manner I cannot say the same for the nurse.

  Esta experiencia es real y hasta el día de hoy tengo secuelas del golpe que sufrí en este lugar donde acudí a una revisión por la luxación de un hombro… Desperté con un golpe en la cabeza y la cara con raspones producto del golpe o caída ( hago hipótesis porque se negaron a darme una explicación), adolorida y con la cara inflamada. Peor de lo que yo me sentía antes de entrar a este lugar donde pude haber muerto porque padezco epilepsia y los golpes en la cabeza pueden ser mortales para mi. Me duele el cuello y la espina dorsal, me duele la cabeza y no logran quitarse los mareos aun después de dos semanas transcurridas, mi vida se transformó porque no soy autosuficiente del todo para andar con este dolor y mareo en la cabeza; padezco de insomnios y estoy por caer en una depresión. Este lugar es para morir, hace tres años también casi pierdo la vida en su sala de parto porque sus enfermeras pasan indiferentes y platicando de cosas sin sentido donde se supone se va a cumplir con una labor que se eligió, la vida de la gente depende muchas veces de ellos pero por verse sanos no les dan importancia. Veo ese lugar y pienso que mucha gente podría morir por gente negligente y malos servicios, elige dónde acudir si tienes alguna emergencia médica. En este lugar estás propenso a salir peor… Tengo pruebas que respaldan mis palabras.

  Came here with husband for suspected heart episode. Spent 6 hours here before we were seen by doctor, despite his history of heart episodes. Months later I came in cause my glucose was over 300 and insulin was not bringing it down, hours after eating something that shouldn't have affected it. Every doctor said to go to ER, nurse's hotline said go to ER, UrgentCare said go to ER... yet ER had me wait for hours. No explanation, just waiting. Could've waited at home. Nurses were very friendly, but be prepared to wait with no idea why you are waiting or what you are waiting for.

  2023 I had a daughter born here. She was premature and this hospital was A+ when it came to her health. Fast forward to 2026 I had an appendectomy and was in and out within 14 hours. No shortage of excellent doctors and nurses here. Much, MUCH better experience than *other* AACO hospitals
