I’ve been a member of Onelife Fitness North Frederick for almost five years, possibly longer, and I can confidently say it continues to be one of the best gyms in Frederick, Maryland.
What really makes this location stand out is the team. Everyone is consistently professional, friendly, positive, and welcoming.
Josh, the General Manager, deserves special recognition. He seems to know almost everyone by name, is always attentive, approachable, and smiling, and genuinely listens when members have a question or concern. More importantly, he works to resolve problems instead of ignoring them. As a fellow business owner, I understand how important leadership is, and when a manager builds a team where employees and customers are happy, that says a lot about the person leading it. Onelife should definitely keep him around.
The front desk team is also excellent. There is one lady who is usually there early in the morning—I feel bad that I don’t remember her name—but she is always smiling, welcoming, and professional. She has built a great relationship with the members and is another excellent example of what customer service should look like.
The facility itself is consistently clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean, the gym continues adding and improving equipment, there are massage amenities, a pool, great trainers, and plenty of options for different types of workouts.
The location is also excellent, and the parking lot feels safe and monitored with cameras. For approximately $59 per month, in my opinion, the value is very difficult to beat.
After almost five years here, I really don’t have any complaints. A great gym is not only about the machines—it’s about the people, leadership, atmosphere, cleanliness, safety, and how customers are treated. Onelife North Frederick continues to do all of those things very well.
Keep taking care of your employees, keep the right leadership in place, and keep building the kind of team that makes members want to stay for years.
Highly recommended.
Best regards,

I have an active premium membership that includes access to all OneLife Fitness locations, and I pay my monthly membership in full. Despite this, I was denied entry to this location and told that I needed to pay an additional fee because this club charges more.
This explanation is inconsistent with the membership benefits I was promised. If my membership includes access to all locations, I should not be required to pay extra to use a facility that is part of the OneLife Fitness network.
As a loyal paying member, I found this experience disappointing and unprofessional. I hope management reviews this situation, honors the terms of its memberships, and ensures that staff provide accurate and consistent information to members. Thank you for your response. I will email the requested information. However, I would also like to point out that I have been a member of several gym chains across the country, including Life Time Fitness, and I have never experienced this type of restriction. When a membership states that it provides access to all locations, members should be able to use any club without unexpected additional fees or being denied entry. I hope OneLife Fitness reviews this policy to ensure it is clear, consistent, and aligned with the benefits advertised to its members.
