I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kelsey Terrones, Nurse Practitioner, at University of Maryland Urgent Care in Fallston. We came in after my partner badly cut his toe and needed stitches, and what could have been an incredibly stressful experience was made so much easier because of Kelsey.
My partner is extremely afraid of needles and, by his own admission, is definitely not the easiest patient when needles are involved! 😂 Kelsey was absolutely amazing with him. She was kind, patient, funny, reassuring, and incredibly skilled. She knew exactly how to keep him calm while still getting everything done, and her sense of humor helped lighten what was otherwise a pretty scary situation for him. You could tell immediately that she genuinely cares about her patients and is exceptionally good at what she does.
I also have to give a huge shoutout to Bryan, the Medical Assistant, who was fantastic when it came time for the tetanus shot. He completely distracted my partner, had him talking and before he even had time to work himself up over it, the shot was done...quickly and practically painlessly!
From start to finish, Kelsey and Bryan turned a stressful, painful situation into such a positive experience. Their compassion, humor, patience, and professionalism were truly above and beyond. Kelsey is exactly the kind of healthcare provider you hope to have when someone you love is scared, hurting, and vulnerable.
University of Maryland Urgent Care in Fallston is incredibly lucky to have both of them. We are so grateful for the care we received and would recommend them without hesitation. Absolutely five-star care! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Slow slow slow….. after signing in and sending paperwork waiting 45 minutes. A medical assistant asks if I’m checked in. I explain yes I am explain the email I sent for sports physical and she finds on the printer already printed…. I then fill out the paperwork, and pay only to be told to have a seat and continue waiting…. Wait for another 45 minutes to finally get called back…. Now waiting in the room currently on 30 minutes to to be seen by the doctor….. mind you this is just for a sports physical. Get it together people horrible horrible stuff here…..I add we had an 11:30 appointment showed up early and here it is 1:30 in the afternoon and we are still waiting……

Did fine with the check up but charged us $40.00 not once, but twice and they were told before the appt was even over. First they took the warranted pymt of $40.00, and I could see the 2nd one was there but said pending, so I assumed they'd see the 1st pymt and the pending one would be taken off, but it was taken out, a second time. Then after waiting the weekend to be able to call billing and get our refund but the woman my fiance spoke to said they were only seeing 1 pymt taken out, even though it WAS taken out of our account more than once! And the thing is too, my family and I are hurting for money and trying to figure out how to pay our BGE bill because my fiance is the only one who can work and he's been out of work due to knee surgery and hasn't gotten a paycheck cuz he's temporarily out of work (a little over 2 months and still waiting for his temporary disability money!!) Now we have to jump through hoops to get our hard earned money back just so we can pay freaking bills. This is a big inconvenience. Not to mention, I really find it hard to believe that the extra money they took isn't showing on their end. If they can see the 1st pymt, why not the 2nd? I saw what they were trying to take BEFORE even leaving the urgent care/appointment! And like I said, shows on our acct. Something fishy definitely is going on so to any other patients or/& patient's parents, keep an eye on your checking acct (or wtvr u pay through). Not happy at all
I got an appointment here—actually i made my appointment at the wrong location, but Fallston took me anyway. The waiting room is really nice. They saw me pretty quickly, listened to my issues, and then they helped me. I was in and out, and even grabbed my Rx from the nearby CVS in less than 2 hours. Couldn’t ask for more.
Quickly checked in by Nandy and thoroughly evaluated by PA Amber Vasold. Clean facility, pleasant associates. Recommend this University of Maryland Urgent Care facility.
